BIRTHDAY
Birthdays are one of the most common and popular celebrations
around the world. Over the years, these holidays have taken on a
special meaning for people, as they represent a time to celebrate
life and express gratitude for the passing of the years. In this guide
from Nanova we are going to explore what birthdays are and why
they are celebrated in such a meaningful way, including
celebrations as particular as themed parties or virtual birthdays.
The origin of the celebration of birthdays dates back to ancient
times and is closely linked to various cultures and beliefs.
Historically, it is believed that the first birthday celebrations were
held in the ancient Greek civilization, where homage was paid to
the gods and offerings were made in honor of the birthday boy.
This practice spread to other cultures over the centuries.

First Communion
First Communion is a very special time for Catholic children. It is a
celebration that marks the first time they participate in the
sacrament of the Eucharist, where they receive the bread and wine,
which for Catholics represents the body and blood of Jesus. This
tradition began many, many years ago, when Jesus shared his last
supper with his friends.
The Eucharist is one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church
and is very important because it is a moment of union with Jesus. It
is as if, through the bread and wine, Jesus is present with us.
For First Communion, children often dress in special ways. Boys can
wear a suit and girls a white dress, which symbolizes purity.
Sometimes they also carry other symbols such as a cross or a
rosary, which are special gifts on this important day.
