The purpose of this guide is to

introduce the visual elements of the
2024 Youth Theme and suggest a
few guidelines in how they are to be
used. As you implement them in your
communications, help youth relate to
Nephi’s testimony “I am a disciple
of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have
been called of him to declare his
word among his people, that they
might have everlasting life.”

Our 2024 Youth Theme mark represents the theme of
“I am a Disciple of Jesus Christ” by a flame held in one's
hand. This represents what it means to be a disciple and
share the light of Christ with others; His light is unfailing
and can be carried with you wherever you go.

The primary use for this years mark should be on a dark

background whenever possible. The mark should always
apear in the following colors.

■■■ Yellow 20 (PANTONE 715 C) — hex: F68D2E

■■■ Red 40 (PANTONE 7421 C) — hex: 6E0D33
■■■ Red 15 (PANTONE Rubine Red C) — hex: E10F5A

The High-Fidelity mark should be used whenever
possible, specifically on print and digital collateral where of Jesus Christ
production will allow the embers to work. Please see the
hi-fi samples on page 15 for reference. 3 NEPHI 5:13

Incised Detail
In the hi-fi primary mark, the flames are encompased with
embers rising up to heaven. When this version is used, there
is also a gentle glow behind the flame and hand that helps
set it off from the background.

Low-Fidelity (lo-fi) Mark — Three Color Low-Fidelity (lo-fi) Mark — One Color

Low-Fidelity (Dark Background)
This year, to allow for greater reach in production, there
are 2 different versions of the mark. The low-fidelity (lo-fi)
version simplifies the flame and embers for small and
low-resolution applications while maintaining the feeling
a buring flame. The lo-fi version of the mark should be
used for simplified production cases or when a simplified
version is need for smaller sizes. Please see the lo-fi

In some cases, the primary mark might be too wide to
use. Because of this, we have created a vertical lockup
that can be used in more narrow cases. It has been
created in both on-dark and on-light formats.

When creating identifiers for other languages, please
follow these guidelines. For languages with longer
translations, the primary configuration can go
to 3 lines as needed. Theme titles for roman languages
should always be set in Helam Italics with the scripture

Clear Space Marker

Clear space should be equal to half the width
of the hand hand. This marker should be used
as equal height and width.

Aign the type to the bottom right of the mark.

the scripture verse in all caps on it’s own line.
Lockups
The mark must be surrounded on all sides by clear space
equal to half the width of the “hand” of the mark. Note

that the clear space should encompase the mark itself
and all type should stay inside the clear space area.

Gradients
This year's mark is accompanied by gradient
backgrounds to help build out collateral and accent
the mark. A noise layer has also been applied to the
gradients to help break up banding when printing and to
add a level of texture. Only use approved gradients.
