Upon reading the article, I learned more about global virtual terms.

In today's interconnected
world, global virtual teams have become increasingly common. These teams bring together
individuals from different cultures, time zones, and backgrounds to work towards a common
goal. While these teams offer numerous advantages such as increased diversity and access to a
wider talent pool, they also present unique challenges.

I was also able to understand the multiple challenges one can face with global virtual terms. One
of the major challenges faced by GVT is conflict. One major source of conflict is the difference
in time zones. When team members are spread across different parts of the world, scheduling
meetings and coordinating work becomes a complex task. This can lead to frustration and
misunderstandings, as some team members may feel that their needs are not being prioritized or
that they are being excluded from important discussions.

Furthermore, reflecting on this article made me realize how conflict within a team can
significantly impact its performance. When conflicts are not addressed promptly, they can
escalate and lead to decreased productivity, low morale, and ultimately project failure. Therefore,
it is crucial for team leaders to foster an environment that encourages open dialogue and
constructive feedback.

From this article, I learned that in order to address these conflicts, organizations should prioritize
effective communication and establish clear guidelines for collaboration. Regular check-ins and
updates should be scheduled to ensure that all team members are on the same page. It is also
essential to foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected
regardless of their geographical location or cultural background.

In conclusion, conflict is an inevitable part of working in global virtual teams. However, by

acknowledging its presence and actively working towards resolution through effective
communication strategies and interpersonal skills development, these teams can overcome
conflicts and achieve high performance levels.
