TEST FINDINGS

1. Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS)

Behavioral Observation:
Aanand was conscious, cooperative and alert. Rapport was established quickly and
comprehension of the test instructions was adequate.

Test Report:
On Y-BOCS’s obsession scale, the present score is 15, which falls in the range of mild
category.Time occupied by obsessive thoughts have been greater than 8 hours per day
leading tosubstantial impairment. There is severe distress fromthese obsessive thoughts
and he would have to yield to his obsessions but with some reluctance.

On Y-BOCS’s compulsion rating scale, the score is 15 which falls in the mild category.
The timespent on performing compulsive behaviors have ranged between 3 to 8 hours per
day. The interference from it is definite but manageable and the distress from it is also
definite but manageable. However, he often yields to his compulsions with little control
over it.

Comments:
Aanand’s score on Y-BOCS is 30 which fall in the severe range of severity. This
requires clinicalattention to deal with it.
2. Obsessive Beliefs Questionnaire Extended (OBQ-EXT)

OBQ is a self-report instrument that assesses general beliefs and attitudes in the cognitive
domain that are the subject of this treatment manual:

- Over importance of thoughts

- Control of thoughts

- Overestimation of danger

- Desire for certainty

- Responsibility

- Perfectionism

- Fear of positive experiences

- Consequences of anxiety
This questionnaire consists of 87 questions. The entire test has 8 different domains as
mentioned above.
