SCENARIO
Bobby Fischer and Robert Byrne are playing a chess game. Fischer is playing with the white
pieces. Byrne decides to reflect Fischer’s first nine moves. Fischer’s first nine moves are:
1. Knight on B1 to C3
2. Pawn on E2 to E4
3. Knight on G1 to F3
4. Bishop on F1 to C4
5. Pawn on H2 to H4
6. Pawn on B2 to B3
7. Pawn on G2 to G3
8. Bishop on C1 to A3
9. Queen to E2
By this time, the position of each piece on the chessboard is a mirror image of the corresponding
opponent piece.
