 Made the subject to lie down on the couch for 5 minutes.

 Recorded the blood pressure by palpatory and auscultatory

method as per the previous checklist

 Without removing the Riva-Rocci cuff asked the subject to

stand up quickly with support.

 Meanwhile asked the assistant to hold the

Sphygmomanometer at the level of the heart.

 Recorded the BP by auscultatory method within 20 seconds

after standing

 Recorded the BP by auscultatory method after 1 minute in the

same standing posture

 Documents: Subject’s position, arm used, cuff size, blood

pressure
