6. ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION INFORMATION, IF ANY:

(Brief write up on the activities conducted during Vigilance Awareess Week;

In pursuance of the directive issued by the Central Vigilance Commission, New Delhi vide
circular no. No.08/09/23 DT:11.09.2023., vigilance awareness week was observed in NMDC
Steel Limited Nagarnar from 30/10/2023 to 05/11/2023.

A brief on the activities during Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 is mentioned below:-
A circular intimating the week’s activities was issued by vigilance department.
The Pledge in connection with the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week was
administered by all the employees. The positive response of the employees for a surge in the
fight against corruption was evident from their enthusiastic participation in the pledge
ceremony.

On same day pledge was taken at school also.
On 31st October 2023, Walkathon was organized in the township with loud slogan for
eradication of corruption and creating awareness in residents of township of organization
On 01st November 2023, essay competition was organized for Executive &workmen. The
topic of essay given was “Say no to corruption; commit to Nation”.
On 02nd November 2023 Spot Slogan Competition was organized for the employees of the
corporation for enhancing skills about awareness in a poetic way. The participants were given
the option to write their slogan in Hindi or English.
On 03rd November 2023 on the quiz competition was organized for employees of the
corporation 7 groups each of 4 number comprises both executives and workman. Questions
were prepared including question related to vigilance, general awareness about NMDC and
general knowledge.
On the same day drawing competition organized for the students of school in Nagarnar
On 04th November 2023 drawing competition organized for the students of school in
Chandili.

Interactive sessions / Essay competitions /Drawing Competitions/Slogan Competition are

organized at following educational institutions from 4th October to 04Th November also.

Before organizing the essay competition, the students of these institutions were interacted by
Vigilance officers, on the matter of corruption, moral values and ethics. About more than 410
nos. students along with the staff of about 50 nos. also were covered from the above
institutions. The involvement of the students on the above context is very much appreciable.

The flex banners depicting the observance of vigilance awareness week 2023 were displayed
at all the prime locations in the plant premises, Township, Banks and at above Educational
Institute. Posters containing slogans in Hindi /English were also displayed at various strategic
points/places of project office building Nagarnar.

On Saturday, i. e. On 4th Nov.2023 the concluding ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week-

2023 was celebrated. A brief account of the activities that took place during the Vigilance
Awareness Week-2023 was spelt out to the audience by Shri Kumar Shiwam, Mgr. (vig).
While speaking on the occasion, Chief Guests of the function Shri K. Vijaya Bhaskar, GM
(Mat.), Shri S K Choudhary, DGM (Fin.) & Shri Samya Bhookya, DGM (Mat.) advised the
employees to follow the laws and rules of corporation and follow the manuals/guideline and
Do’s & Don’ts while performing official duties.
Finally, Prizes were distributed by Miss Prerna Siddharth, Mgr (Vig.) to the winners of the
various competitions held during the Vigilance Awareness week through the hands of Chief
Guests.
The function ended with the vote of thanks by Shri Ramesh Vatwani. AGM (Vig.) to one and

success.
