 METHOD OF STATEMENT

1.0 OBJECTIVE
The purpose is to outline work methods for the hacking existing RC slab.

4.0 Methodology
 The setting out will be made at the beginning stage of the work by referring to the construction
drawings. All reference points will be made as necessary for the entire work, develop method and
cross-checking all setting-out will be operations.
 The area to be hacked is within the hoarding area and accessibility should be restricted.
 Hacking work RA & method statement must be submitted to consultant & safety before starting the
work.
 Hacking work will be carried out by using a concrete breaker shall only be operated by trained &
qualified operator with valid certification.
 The excavator operator must inspect the excavator, breaker, and its assemblies daily to ensure that
they are in good working condition before any work commences.
 Canvas will be used to cover on top to reduce the noise.
 METHOD OF STATEMENT

 Hardcore and debris resulting in hacking to be cleared and removed by using jumbo bag and
disposal from site to destinated disposal place.
 Water shall be used during the hacking process to reduce the dust propagation.
