Marc Jaocob’s Daisy: Jennie’s favorite perfume. She sprays a few sprits into her long brunette hair and
clothing before setting it down on the vanity top. Standing up to take a look at herself in the full body
mirror, she lightly tugs at the hem of the white skin tight dress. She doesn’t quite understand why she’s
wearing the dress when it’s just going to be ripped off her skin in a few minutes. The doorbell rings and
she ignores it at first until it rings again. She scowls and storms out of her room towards the door.
Checking the door monitor first, she confirms her guest before clicking the door open.

“I gave you a spare key for a reason,” she spat the moment Jaehyun entered.

“I forgot it at the studio,” he dryly responded. Stripping off his leather jacket, he tosses it onto the
kitchen counter along with his keys.

Jennie doesn’t move when he steps up to her because she was anticipating it already. His fingers weave
into the gaps of her hands as his lips finds hers. What started out as a simple little kiss quickly
accumulates with a trail of clothing leading into Jennie’s bedroom. Her white dress from earlier now sits
on the ground next to her bed alongside his jeans.

Jaehyun leaves soft, teasing kisses down Jennie’s toned body and stops right before he reaches her
womanhood. His breath tickles her sensitive skin and she aches for more. He kisses her inner thigh
before bringing his lips to meet her lips. Jennie’s back arches at once with one hand pushing his head in
further. Jaehyun wraps his arms around her legs when she tries to back away and digs his tongue deeper
into her wet cavern. Moans of gibberish mixed with his name fills the bedroom and it gets louder as she
gets closer and closer to her peak. Jaehyun’s fingers take over and his lips return to mouth with his
tongue fighting for dominance. Moments later her back arches and her walls clench tightly on his
fingers.

Jennie roughly pushes him onto his back before getting on top. He throws his head back when she slides
down onto him and his hands grab her small waist. Biting her swollen bottom lip, she begins moving at
her own pace but Jaehyun has no complaints. He watches her perky breasts bounce as she rides him and
he gets harder—if that was even possible.
She feels helpless when he pins her hands above her head. Her teeth sink hard into her lips with her
head thrashing from side to side while Jaehyun watches from above in satisfaction. Keeping his steady
pace, he leans down to suck on her neck before finally letting her hands go free. They instantly slap onto
his bare back with her fingertips digging into his skin. One hand heavily rakes through his thick head of
hair and her breathing hitches.

The moment that’s about to come was what they needed the entire week just to simply function
correctly. Both are as broken as any human can possibly be and only they can fix each other. Neither
knows why the other is broken nor do they even care. All that matters is that they’re able to make each
other feel like they’re still living even if it’s just for a brief moment.

A warm sensation grows in her lower abdomen and she clings on tightly to Jaehyun, afraid that it might
vanish before she reaches her peak. She was getting close and she could tell he was too. His teeth rake
against her neck and she becomes impatient.

“Jaehyun,”she irritably groans, grabbing a handful of his hair to pull him back to face her. “I need you,
now!”

“Don’t worry, I got you,” he answered hungrily between rough kisses.

His pace quickens and the bed begins to move along with their rigorous movements. Her eyes clench
tightly so she breaks away from his needy kiss in need of air while he takes his lips back to her long neck.
They both feel it at the tip of their fingers and with one last thrust, her walls clench around him leading
Jaehyun to release himself into her. Silence fills the room as the both of them take in the moment of
ecstasy.

Truth be told, this wasn’t supposed to happen.

Six months ago Jennie was in much need of a stress reliever and called a masseuse to her apartment
who happened to be, Jaehyun. She was expecting a female but there was something about Jaehyun’s
lifeless eyes—despite his bright smile—that seemed to reflect her own which made it hard to turn him
away.
She watched closely while he set up his little area in her living room but didn’t say anything. Stripped
down to her undergarments, she laid down on the portable massage table and he began oiling away.

Jaehyun hated his job as a masseuse. He dreamed of being a singer but that was all taken away when his
parents died in a tragic car accident, leaving behind loads of debt for him to pay. He stumbled upon this
masseuse job by accident and never left since. Now, he’s not just any regular masseuse. Jaehyun gets
paid loads of money for what he does and women always come back for more. But the more money he
got, the more lifeless he became as he was now just an item women would call to when they were
lonely. During the night he sings in underground clubs in Hongdae because that was the closest he could
ever get to an actual stage.

It began from an “accidental” slip of the hand between Jennie’s legs. That was Jaehyun’s way of testing
out his customers to see if they were in need of an actual massage or more. With no reaction, he
continued and before long, Jaehyun has her bent over the table, moaning for more while he penetrated
her from behind. At that time, he didn’t know she really just called him for a massage. Jennie has never
done anything spontaneous in her life and for some stupid reason that was the day she decided to be
spontaneous for once.

He doesn’t kiss his customers but her kisses send electricity into his veins. It’s similar to the thrill he gets
when he’s on stage singing and it takes him back to the days when life wasn’t so shitty.

The next time it happened, Jennie went to the massage parlor instead. It was located between two high
end coffee shops on a busy street in Hongdae. It wasn’t what she expected as it was much more high
class than the usual sex parlors. That was what she thought until she found out it was just a normal
massage parlor and Jaehyun was just secretly giving extra services.

He wasn’t surprised to see her again but he didn’t expect to see her so soon. Her eyes said it all and he
didn’t need her to say anything. Something happened to their lost, broken souls that first time and they
needed it to happen again.

Neither knows when this mutual agreement happened but it’s impossible to stop now.
It was supposed be an accident until curiosity turned it into and addiction.

Whenever they needed a boost, to feel whole again or just something to turn their day around, they
would meet up. It could be a few times a week to once a month; it didn’t matter, as long as they were
able to leave feeling like they were alive and whole again.

It’s been a week since the last time Jennie’s seen or spoken to Jaehyun. She can feel the world just
slowly slipping away from her grip but it hasn’t gotten to the point where she needed him yet. Switching
her legs, Jennie flips through another article on the newest fashion fads. Her fingers steadily drum on
the glass top while one hand is marking away at little details of the article with a red pen. The vibrating
alert from her phone breaks her concentration and she reaches for it.

Where are you?

Jennie didn’t need to hear it for herself as she knew how much urgency Jaehyun intended in this simple
text. He was broken again and she needed to fix him, ASAP.

My office, I’ll tell them to let you in.

Pushing herself away from the desk full of documents, Jennie struts over to the coffee table located in
the middle of her monochrome decorated office and opened herself a water bottle. She was barely able
to get a drink in when the door swings open followed by Jaehyun. He locks the doors to her office before
turning to face her.

His eyes are black and dull while his brows are tightly knit together. He looks tired and he is but there’s
still a hunger boiling inside of him that even Jennie can feel from across the room. His steps are slow yet
impatient as he walks over to her. Taking the water bottle out of her hand, he places it on the glass table
before slipping off his black blazer and tossing it on the black leather couches. One hand reaches out to
cup her face, leading her lips to his.
He feels the electricity running through his veins again but he wants more because he knows he can get
more. Wrapping his arms around her, he forcibly pushes her up against his tone body then lowers down
onto the sofa. Jaehyun’s hand begins pulling up her new designer dress as she straddles him. Jennie
could tell he was impatient so she breaks away from their kiss and kneels down in front of him, between
his legs. Popping the button, she pulls down his zipper and reaches for his member. Jaehyun’s hand
grabs a handful of Jennie’s thick hair and lets her take him in whole. Her pink lips wrap tightly around his
erected member while her hands stroke him all at the same time. His head thrashes back and a loud pop
comes from Jennie’s lips when she pulls away briefly. Her tongue teases his tip and their eyes meet
when she throws him a ravenous glance. Jaehyun’s teeth sinks into his lips as his nose wrinkles, seconds
before a moan escape his mouth. His hips buckle and she can tell he’s close. He holds her head in place
when he comes and she swallows everything without a complaint.

While he catches his breath, Jennie helps herself to some water. His pants are still down by his ankle and
he holds no intention of going the extra way to take them off. Once the water bottle is back on the table,
he pulls Jennie back onto his lap while his lips make their way to her neck. His touch his like fire, but she
likes the burning sensation so she clings onto him tighter. His hand snakes up her body and grabs a
fistful of her breast while between her legs; she can feel him getting hard again. Jaehyun’s hand returns
to Jennie’s waist and pulls up the dress to expose her lacey panties. Without breaking their kiss, he strips
her free of her underwear and she lowers herself onto him. A low growl comes from the back of his
throat as Jennie begins moving her hips. Jaehyun loved the way her tight lips wrapped around his
member which made every single moment full of pleasure.

Snaking her arms around his neck, she kisses him passionately and moans into his mouth when his
hands slide down to massage her buttocks. Jaehyun loved sucking the area around Jennie’s neck as he
had figured out it was her weak spot. His teeth raked down her neck and she instantly succumbed to
him, her body slightly limping from his touch.

“You’re going to leave a mark,” she hissed into his ear and a dark chuckle escaped his lips.

She buries her hands in his head of ashy blonde hair and closes her eyes with their tongues tied together
along with her hips rocking at a steady pace. Jaehyun feels himself coming so he pulls her closer to him,
filling every crease of his body with her curves. Jennie speeds up her pace and the warm sensation in her
lower abdomen returns. Jaehyun buries his head in between the cook of her neck and she collapses
onto him when her walls clench onto his thick member. His hips buckle as his seeds spill into her and the
only thing that is heard is their heavy breathing.
Each time they were done, they’re always left wondering how the other could make them feel in such a
way. Nobody else was able to bring them the same transient moments they shared but neither ever
attempted to find the answer.

Jaehyun’s lips return to Jennie’s before he lowers her onto her back. Throwing her arms over his
shoulder, Jennie clings on tightly to him so his warmth doesn’t escape from her. A vibration mixed with a
beep comes from Jaehyun’s blazer that’s thrown onto the couch and he growls. He’s reluctant to leave
Jennie’s irresistible lips but if he doesn’t take the call, all hell will break loose.

Leaning back, he grabs the phone and places it on speaker. “Yes?”

Redirecting his erected member back into Jennie, he begins penetrating her tight hole and a grin swipes
across his lips while watching Jennie bite her lips to contain her moans.

“Oppa how come you didn’t reply to my messages?” asked a female voice.

Jaehyun rolls his eyes in annoyance while Jennie smirks in amusement.

“I was busy. What do you want Rosé?”

Daringly, Jennie grabs his t-shirt and pulls him down to kiss him. Against her lips, she can feel his grin
and these are the moments when neither cared to think of the mistakes or the people they were
hurting.

“I know I scared you earlier,” Rosé continued on, clueless about what was happening on the other end
of the call. “But just hear me out Oppa.”

“Alright,” he complied before bringing his lips to Jennie’s collarbones.

She babbles on about some rubbish the two aren’t interested in hearing and it’s only when she asks him
to meet her parents later that evening that Jaehyun finally breaks away from Jennie.

“Why should I do that?” He spat into the phone.

“Because we should give them a definite answer,” she argued with a loud whiney voice.

“You know my answer and I have to go.” Jaehyun tossed the phone onto the ground after hanging up
and returned to Jennie to finish off.

“What was that all about?” Jennie finally asked after their clothes were back on.

Jaehyun finishes buckling his jeans and seats himself down next to Jennie on the couch. “Apparently
Rosé’s parents want us to get married.”

“Now is that her parent’s wanting or her own personal wanting?” Jennie mocked and Jaehyun scoffed.

“I don’t even know,” pinching the bridge of his nose, he leaned his head back on the couch with a sigh.

Jennie’s fingers danced into his hair and the soothing tugs slightly put him at ease. She doesn’t ask him
to be with her because they don’t love each other; they just temporarily fix each other.

II - Asianfanfics

Seconds after Jaehyun hands his keys to the valet, a pair of skinny pale arms wraps around his thicker
one. Rosé smiles brightly beside him while Jaehyun silently sighs. They march in together into the high
end restaurant that rich people somehow finds satisfaction from the impossibly small proportions. They
were going on a double date with one of Rosé’s old friends that she had bumped into recently.
Apparently to Rosé, he and Jaehyun would become the best of friends since they both loved to sing and
dance. The whole entire time Jaehyun was cursing to himself at how he maybe should have met up with
Jennie first.

The thick heavy doors to the VIP room swings open and two pair of eyes meets them. One is bright and
lively while the other, dark and ominous. Jaehyun bites down on his jaw when he sees Jennie beside the
taller guy and she too looks surprised to see him.

“Hey Taeyong,” Rosé greeted him brightly before taking Jaehyun by the hand to lead him to the center
of the room.

“Hey!” The guy named Taeyong grinned, pulling Rosé into a quick embrace.

“So this must be Jennie!” Rosé exclaims, turning to Jennie with an excited smile.

“Jennie,” Jennie corrects with much less enthusiasm before taking out her hand for a polite hand shake.
“Call me Jennie instead.”

“And this must be Jaehyun,” Taeyong motions to him and Rosé quickly links her arm with Jaehyun’s.

“Nice to meet you,” Jaehyun grins, taking Taeyong’s hand before turning to Jennie who finds this
situation quite funny. “Nice to meet you too, Jennie-shi.”

During their dinner together, both Taeyong and Rosé are so busy retelling their high school stories that
they don’t notice the gazes Jaehyun and Jennie are exchanging. Underneath the table, Jaehyun taps
Jennie’s foot with his and her eyes glance up from her meal to meet his. Jennie may be better at acting
like everything’s fine but Jaehyun’s better at reading and he can tell she’s slipping out now. He slightly
raises a brow and she manages to give him an amused grin in return.

“So Jennie, when did you two meet?” Rosé suddenly asks Jennie with her head propped up on her fists,
elbows on the table.
Taeyong glances at Jennie with a charming grin and she gives him a forced eye smile that only Jaehyun
notices. “Um, we met during my first year of college,” she replies with a voice that is too cheery for
Jaehyun’s liking. “We had Calculus together.”

Taeyong chuckles and wraps one arm around her. “She’s like an iceberg, it was so hard to approach her
at first but once you get to know her,” he turns to Jennie with a soft gaze. “She’s the most fragile thing
ever.”

While Rosé squeals over Taeyong’s cheesy words, Jaehyun slightly smiles knowing how fragile she really
is and how he’s the only one who can fix her, not Taeyong.

“I chased her for five years until a year ago she finally agreed to be my girlfriend,” he continues on with
his eyes still softly gazing over Jennie who just smiles.

“Taeyong’s a really sweet guy,” Rosé comments. “All these years that I’ve known him, he’s treated all his
girlfriends really well.”

“Rosé,” Jaehyun hisses and she quickly realizes her mistake.

“Oops,” she makes a cute expression. “Excuse me, I didn’t mean to bring up the past girls.”

“It’s alright,” Jennie coolly shrugs it off. “Everybody has a past.”

“How about you two?” Taeyong asks as his hands move to Jennie’s waist.

Rosé throws a flirty glance over her shoulder at Jaehyun and he grins at her.
“I made the first move,” she states proudly, wrapping her arm around his. “I was out with my girls at a
bar and he was singing there. What song was it again?”

“Wicked Games by The Weeknd,” Jaehyun answers.

“Yeah!” She giggles cutely as she cuddles up to him, making Jennie want to vomit from the cheesiness.
“Well, after he finished singing, I had gotten a few drinks in me which resulted in me pulling him down
for a kiss.”

“Whoa!” Taeyong exclaims, brows rising in all.

“Yeah,” she laughs and Jaehyun tries his best to look as amused but Jennie doesn’t buy it. “Ever since
then, we’ve been together. It’s been two good years.”

Their eyes meet briefly and while others would be freaking out, they were just amused.

Seated Indian style on the kitchen island countertop in only an oversized blue t-shirt and black boy
shorts, Jennie was treating herself to some strawberry yogurt and Cosmopolitan when Jaehyun stepped
into her apartment.

“I thought you said your boyfriend’s name was Taeyong,” he says, tossing his keys onto the kitchen
counter.

“It is,” she states, flipping the page in her magazine. “Taeyong’s his Korean name.”

Opening her fridge, he blindly grabs for a nice cold water bottle from the top shelf. “Well obviously.”
“She’s a pretty gal,” Jennie comments dryly, her brows knitting as she reads an article on the health
effects from tanning too much. “Surprised you haven’t gotten in her pants yet, it’s been how many
years? Three she said?”

“Two,” he corrects and places the bottle on the countertop behind him after getting a drink. “And I told
you already, she’s wa-.”

“Right,” Jennie cuts him off. “Waiting until marriage, what a pure soul she has.”

“This is a small world isn’t it?” Jaehyun asks with a slight scoff.

Jennie finally looks up from her magazine and matches his grin. “Of all the Rosés and Taeyongs in this
world, it just had to be ours.”

“Should we stop?” He taunts, his head tilting to the side with his eyes are staring at her long legs.

“We should,” she answers with a smirk. “I mean it would be the moral thing to do, but too bad we’re
both so lost in this ugly world that there is no morality left in our broken, more than dead souls.”

He scoffs before pushing himself away from the counter over to Jennie. Her legs unravel and wrap
themselves around his waist, pulling him closer to her.

“You looked beautiful earlier,” he grins, leaning in until their lips are almost touching.

“I know,” she says confidently, tossing the magazine aside before throwing her arms over his shoulder.
“I saw the way you were looking at me.”

Jaehyun closes the distance between them when his lip presses against her glossy pink ones. His hands
are already inside her t-shirt and making their way up to her breasts. She moans as he massages her
twins with his expert hands. Her shirt goes flying off onto the ground a few seconds later followed by
Jaehyun’s leather jacket and shirt.

The black marble countertops tug at Jennie’s skin when she shutters from Jaehyun’s touches. His head
dip between her thighs and she hisses when his warm tongue slides through her slits. Propping herself
up on her elbow, one hand grabs his hair before pushing him in deeper. Jennie’s eyes rolls back as she
throws her head back at the way he was eating her out.

While one hand wraps around Jennie’s leg to keep her in place, Jaehyun’s other hand is busy unbuckling
his jeans. They fall to his ankles with a slight rattle from his belt and he slips out of them, kicking them
into a random direction. His hand dips into his briefs and he begins stroking himself while his lips
continue to devour her.

She comes quicker than usual and Jaehyun licks her clean before entering her wet pussy. Her breathing
hitches when he begins penetrating into her core. Everything physical about Jung Jaehyun was just so
attractive to Jennie. His face, his body, his hair, just everything about him was undeniably gorgeous in
her eyes.

Jaehyun just loved the way her pussy lips squeezed his dick when he penetrated her from behind. With
Jennie bent over on the counter, he grabs onto her bra for more control and his thrust grow deeper.
Hisses mixed with moans fill the apartment but he loved it the most when she shamelessly whimpered
for him. His name escapes her thirsty lips and he just wants to rip her apart. His hand snakes around and
through her legs to rub her clit and her legs turn into jello at the double pleasure.

“Fuck, Jennie,” he growls when she purposely squeezes her pussy on him.

“Shit,” she cusses, her fists turning white as she glances at Jaehyun over her shoulder.

He leans over her thin body, his body sticking to her skin wherever they touched and stuck his tongue
into her mouth. She meets his tongue with hers and together they explore each other’s caverns. His
moves grow frantic and Jennie breaks away from their kiss with whimpers. Her back arches, her head
tosses back and her lips close tighter around Jaehyun. He grunts from satisfaction and leans over to suck
on her neck from behind. Jennie feels like she’s going to collapse as her legs feel weak from the intense
session.

Jaehyun’s nose digs into her jaw and she knows he’s asking for her lips. Propping herself up on her
elbows, she turns to him and unlike his rough, hungry kisses earlier, they’re soft and gentle. She can feel
something’s up from the kisses but she doesn’t ask because they don’t talk about feelings or talk in
general.

“I’m getting married,” he finally says between their kisses.

Jennie sighs and turns away from him. “I thought you said no.”

His arms wrap around her waist. “Life will be easier if I just do it.”

She scoffs before running a hand through her wavy black hair. “It’s like you’re volunteering to burry
yourself alive. You just love living in a dark hole don’t you, Jaehyun?”

Jaehyun sucks on the area right behind her ear and her eyelids come to a close. “Well aren’t you a
hypocrite,” he mutters into her ear. “You keep using Jisoo as an excuse but you never really intend to
look for her do you?”

Jennie’s eyes flutter open at the name of her older sister and her soul shatters yet again with no one to
help her catch the falling pieces. Her parents divorced when she young resulting in the two of them
getting split. Jennie went with their dad while Jisoo stayed with their mom. Jennie lived a life of luxury
where everything was handed to her but her heart turned cold from the lack of actual love. Her father
remarried many wives and it got to the point where she didn’t even bother to accept them into the
family anymore.

Jisoo on the other hand, didn’t have it so well. Their mom remarried to a wealthy business man but it
wasn’t long until the company fell into the hands of loan sharks. He turned to alcohol and both Jisoo and
her mother were abused. When Jennie found out, it was already too late as Jisoo was reported missing.
The last time she was spotted was with their stepdad when he asked her to drive him on an errand.

Jisoo was deemed dead many years ago but Jennie still believes she’s out there. There’s just no way for
her to be dead when there is no evidence stating that she is.

Stepping into the small family owned coffee shop, Jennie orders her usual order and takes a seat by the
window to observe people as she waits for her friend. She takes a note of how they smile, laugh and act
around other people. Sadly the only time she doesn’t have to remind herself to act like a normal human
being is when she’s naked with Jaehyun.

Her Iced Americano arrives seconds before Jennie’s friend, Lisa prances through the door with the bell
ringing loudly behind her. Her eyes are big and bright and they always seem to sparkle, even when she’s
sad. Jennie smiles—a genuine one—at her as she makes her way over to Jennie.

“Hey, it’s been awhile,” Lisa says and her liveliness is quickly envied by Jennie.

“Yeah,” Jennie agrees with a nod. “How did your filming go?”

“Great,” Lisa answers with a smile so bright, Jennie questions if it’s even possible for someone to be so
happy. “I mean at first I struggled a lot since I obviously don’t speak Chinese, but once I got closer to my
co-stars everything got better.”

“That’s good to know,” Jennie says as she watches the water droplets on the outside of her drink fall
onto the napkin underneath. “When is the movie coming out?”

“They’re aiming for next spring,” Lisa answers. “But as of right now we’re not sure. But enough about
me, how have you been?”
Jennie sighs and raises her eyes up to meet Lisa’s for a very brief second. “Great, the magazine is doing
well; my new designs are in their last stages and yeah.”

“Nothing new about Taeyong?” Lisa teases and one corner of Jennie’s lip curls slightly.

“He’s still the same cheesy goofball,” Jennie answers and it’s enough to satisfy Lisa’s curiosity.

Jennie was never one to have girlfriends, let alone friends. She met Lisa second semester of their
freshman year of college. Everything about Lisa is the exact opposite of Jennie but for some miracle
reason, they click and she’s the only person Jennie can go to besides Jaehyun, plus she’s much tolerable
unlike other girls.

Taeyong hands Jennie a spoon before sliding into the empty spot beside her on the couch in his bachelor
pad. She loves anything green-tea related and ice cream was no exception. A suction sound escapes the
lid of the tub when he rips it open. Getting herself a nice full spoonful, she turns to face the TV where
commercials were playing. Taeyong is a huge fan of soccer while Jennie just doesn’t see the fun in
watching grown men fight over a ball. She’s mistakenly good in all sports but soccer has never appealed
to her. Nevertheless, she still catches every game with Taeyong when he asks because that’s what a
loving girlfriend should do. He wraps an arm over her shoulder while she brings her long legs up to
throw over his lap. She vows that if she was ever capable of loving somebody, it would be Taeyong.

“Babe, you remember Rosé?” He asks with his eyes still glued onto the flat screen TV.

Pretending to search through her memory, Jennie hesitates for three seconds—she counted. “Oh, your
high school friend you ran into recently?”

“Yeah her,” he nods, giving her the ice cream tub before placing his hand on her thigh. “Well, she
wanted to do another double date, to get to know you better. Are you free on the 15th?”

She could be but she decides not to. Telling herself to frown and look disappointed, she does. “I have a
meeting that day with a representative from Lacoste, I wish I could.”
The key to telling a convincing lie is to add a little touch of truth.

“It’s alright, babe,” he says and drops a kiss on the tip of her nose. “There’s always next time.”

Jennie gives Taeyong a smile and like always, he buys it.

III - Asianfanfics

Unlike Jennie, Jaehyun is still able to react naturally to most human situations. His lunch break was
disrupted when Rosé arrived at work, wanting to talk wedding plans. Her eyes sparkled like a jar of
diamonds all hitting the light at the same time and it burned him. Rosé is someone Jaehyun can say he
adores and once believe there was love there but her bright and needy personality has just come to
burden Jaehyun who is the exact opposite.

“Mom wants to do it in a church,” Rosé rants. “But I personally want to do a destination wedding. I was
thinking maybe Venice, or even Paris. Oh my gosh Oppa, let’s get married in Paris!”

Jaehyun sighs as he feels like the few bites he took of his lunch is going to come right back up. “Why
can’t we just have a normal wedding?”

Rosé’s mouth gapes open for a few seconds in disbelief. “Oppa, we can’t just have a normal wedding.
I’m a fashion icon, a rising actress. We need to be the couple of the year.”

“Rosé,” he sighs. “I work in a massage parlor and sing in underground bars and clubs for a living. I also
have no parents or siblings. What part of what I just said, matched up to you? None; I don’t want an
extravagant wedding where everyone attending is just hoping for the worst to happen. We’re not some
sort of item.”
She sighs heavily. “That’s true,” she pushes out her bottom lip, “Well, then let’s still have a destination
wedding but have it be private, just our close family and friends?”

It’s not like he can disagree at every idea she comes up with or else this wedding won’t ever happen.
“That sounds better.”

Gravel crunched underneath Jennie’s oxfords when she stepped out of her car. She may dress hundreds
of people, draw fifty designs a day and announce the latest fashion items but Jennie hated heels. She
was capable of doing almost everything in them but she was confident with her height and just liked
being on flat ground in flat shoes. Sure she was dating a celebrity and needed to constantly look good all
the time but Gucci dresses and six inch heels to go grocery shopping is not how it needs to be.

Stepping onto the set of the pictorial featuring her newest designs, Jennie took off her designer shades
and stuffed it into her bag. With her usual stoic expression, she greeted the staff while making her way
towards the dressing room. She wanted to make sure all the models were wearing the pieces correctly.
Jennie had booked Lisa to be one of the models to help her promote her upcoming film although it is a
bit early.

“Jennie!” Lisa exclaims, running from across the room to give Jennie a hug.

“Hey there,” Jennie greets with a light chuckle.

Sometimes being human just came natural to Jennie when she was with Lisa.

“I heard one of the male models couldn’t make it,” Jennie begins, already nitpicking at the details on
Lisa’s blouse. “Did they find a replacement in time?”

“Oh yeah,” Lisa shot Jennie a mischievous look. “He’s a hottie.”

“Cool,” Jennie sighs dryly, spinning Lisa around so she can fix the back of the blouse. “Where is he? I
need to approve his outfit first.”

“Right here.”

A pair of arms wraps themselves around Jennie from behind before a soft kiss is planted on her cheek.
Jennie recognizes the cologne along with the distinct voice and spins around to see Taeyong in full hair
and makeup.

“Wait, you’re the replacement model?” Jennie asks, pointing at Taeyong who nods with a cute grin.

“Lisa was complaining to me about how hungry she was and I happened to be near so I brought her
food,” Taeyong begins to explain, wrapping Jennie up in his arms while she turns to face Lisa. “It just so
happens that they needed a model and she,” he flares his nostrils at Lisa who shrugs. “Recommended
me so, here I am.”

“But you don’t model,” Jennie states, turning to Taeyong who doesn’t seem to know what personal
space means.

“I act,” he shrugs. “I sing, I dance, and I mean how hard can it be?”

“Taeyong, this is high fashion,” Jennie argues. “This isn’t like the usual album covers and movie posters.”

“Babe chill,” Taeyong snickers, running his hands up and down her arms while Lisa sighs.

This was a usual sight from the perfectionist.

“I’m watching you,” she warns and he snickers before planting a quick kiss on her lips.
“Urgh,” Lisa rolls her eyes. “Get a room.”

Throughout the shoot she watches Taeyong closely and voices out whenever she wasn’t satisfied with
his posing. After they were done, Taeyong suggested they all go out for dinner since it had been a while
with just the three of them. Lisa surprises them with news about her new beau, Luhan who was her co-
star. Taeyong all of sudden claims he might know the guy because his celebrity soccer team played
against another celebrity team from China and their ace player was named Luhan. Jennie inwardly sighs
since the world just suddenly seems so small now.

Something tells her to look outside and she does. She meets a pair of eyes, as cold and intimidating as
hers but they hold a strong sense of resemblance and familiarity. Jennie blinks and suddenly the eyes
are gone. Everything inside her drops and she instantly breaks into a sweat. Her palms become sweaty
and she feels a strong need to run away. Jennie doesn’t quite understand how she was able to undergo
these situations without Jaehyun in the past but that doesn’t concern her because she desperately
needed a fix.

She dries her hand on her jeans before placing it over Taeyong’s on his knee. He turns to her at the
touch and she makes sure to give him a small smile.

“I’m not feeling so well so I think I’m going to head back first,” she says and concern is written all over
his expression.

“What’s wrong?” Taeyong asks, reaching out to stroke her cheek. “I’ll take you home.”

Jennie shakes her head. “No, I think it’s just from all the meetings from today,” she manages to give him
another smile despite feeling as though she was going to lose it right there and then.

“I’ll be okay Babe,” she assures, quickly giving him a soft peck on the lips. “Bye Sul.”

“Call me,” she insists with her cute puppy eyes and Jennie just nods as she leaves.
The moment she exits the restaurant, she pulls out her phone and texts to Jaehyun as fast as her shaky
fingers would allow her to.

I need you.

When she gets into her car, he finally responds.

Come to the studio.

As if someone from above was trying to stop her, she pulls up to find Rosé’s car parked right outside of
the small studio. Her heartbeat raises and her fists turn white as she tries to hold onto the last bit of
sanity in her. Ignoring the fact that she might get caught, Jennie storms out of her car and dips into the
building. She feels a pinch of relaxation from knowing they were in the same vicinity but it was nothing
compared to the way Jaehyun could make her feel.

Her feet are light as she runs up the stairs towards the studio. A stoke of light hits the dark hallway as
the studio door is cracked open. From down the hall, Jennie can hear Rosé’s voice and Jaehyun suddenly
cutting her off in an extremely fake, gentle voice.

“Babe, if you don’t leave I won’t get any work done,” he says and Jennie feels her short nails digging into
her palms.

“Okay, just pick, gold or silver,” Rosé insists still.

“Babe,” Jaehyun hisses and she hears an extremely loud sigh come from Rosé.

“Alright, call me later then,” she says as she steps out into the hall.
Jennie pushes herself deeper into the darkness, watching Jaehyun give Rosé a kiss goodbye before she
finally leaves. She waits until Rosé’s steps are long gone before slipping into the studio.

Her eyes meet his the moment she enters and he pulls the door to a close before locking it. He can see
her crumbling and he instantly pulls her into a rough kiss. Their tongues entangle in each other’s mouths
while hands are hastily tugging and pulling at their clothing.

Holding himself up over Jennie’s body on the black leather couch against the wall, Jaehyun’s arm
muscles rippled underneath his tanned skin every time he thrusts into her. Her hands ran up his arms
and rested on his shoulder before pulling him in for a strongly needed kiss. The simple slip and sliding of
their skin was already giving her relief and knocking some sanity back into her. Her orgasm comes in
large waves and she shutters underneath him. Jaehyun collapse onto her once he finishes himself. Her
arms and legs trap him there and she just prays for the sensation to last a moment longer. He digs his
nose into her jaw and leaves soft kisses on her neck as she tries to collect her breath. She feels a hint of
pain and she runs her hands though his hair, thanking him since he was doing it all just for her own sake.

“People like surrounding themselves with others who have the same interests and beliefs. When I first
saw you, I saw my own lifeless eyes staring right back at me. You’re the only person in the world who is
just as broken as I am.”

Jennie once said that to Jaehyun when he asked her why she let the first time happened. She never
needed him ask much as he needed her but when she did, Jaehyun knew not to hesitate.

Although Jennie had rejected Rosé’s offer to hang out the first time, she decided to give in on the next
one for the sake of Taeyong. She didn’t like the idea of staying for three days and two nights at a
pension by the lake with Rosé, Jaehyun, Lisa, Luhan and Taeyong, or maybe just staying in a pension for
three days and two nights in general.

Rosé was a high maintenance girl, the type Jennie absolutely detested. For such a short trip she packed a
full suitcase of clothes and even had a smaller one filled with just shoes, compared to Jennie who had
shared half a duffle bag with Taeyong and brought two basic pair of shoes. Jennie enjoyed watching
Jaehyun curse under his breath and do little eye rolls when Rosé wasn’t watching. Instead of a
boyfriend, he looked more like her personal assistance.
Luhan was not what Jennie expected at all and for a second upon meeting him, she swore she had met
an angle. He had bright brown orbs that sparkled like Lisa’s. His dark plum hair contrasted his pale skin,
making him look and seem so fragile like a porcelain doll. Something Lisa had forgotten to mention was
that he was fluent in Korean. He and Lisa were inseparable but who could blame them since they hadn’t
seen each other in weeks.

When they arrived at the pension, it was about two in the afternoon. They had a private pension located
right on the shore with each room having balcony facing the beautiful waters. Each bedroom branched
off to a different part of the pension but they all shared a living room and kitchen.

Jaehyun and Rosé’s room was upstairs in the master bedroom while the other two couples had their
rooms on the main floor but on opposite sides of the pension. Jaehyun threw Jennie a dangerous look as
he dragged Rosé’s things upstairs. Taking the hand of Taeyong’s, she wickedly grinned at Jaehyun before
letting Taeyong take her to their bedroom.

The duffle bag lands on the king bed with a thud while Jennie explores the room. She quickly glances at
the bathroom and closets before moving on over to the balcony. She pulls the curtains back and slides
the door open to let in a breath of fresh air. Taeyong is already changing into a new top but Jennie just
wants to look at the waters and let the beautiful sight sink in. The moment she catches sight of the sand,
her feet are just begging for her to let him run through her toes. There was a little drop from the balcony
to the ground but that didn’t stop Jennie from jumping over the railing to get to the sand. The sand was
hot at first but once her feet sunk in, the cool sand underneath seeped through the gaps of her toes.
Running a hand through her hair, she began towards the lake.

She stopped when she reached the wet shore and let the small waves run over her feet. The water
wasn’t cold but it wasn’t warm either. A slight breeze flows through her, causing some of the lake water
to sprinkle onto her. She jolted a bit when a pair of warm arms wrapped around her body. When she
saw it was just Taeyong she released a sigh, not sure whether it was a sigh of relief that it wasn’t
Jaehyun or a sigh of disappointment.

“I have never been happier knowing that my girlfriend is not a high maintenance girl,” he snickers with
his chin resting on Jennie’s shoulder. “I feel bad for Jaehyun.”
Jennie grins. If only Taeyong knew the real reason Jaehyun was still with her, he wouldn’t be feeling bad
at all.

“You wanna go in?” He asks, unraveling his arms around her waist to only take her hand shortly after.

“No, no,” Jennie shakes her head vigorously but he continues to pull her into the water.

“Come on,” he says playfully.

“Taeyong, no!” She shrieks when the waters come up to her calves.

Meanwhile, Jaehyun releases a heavy sigh once he drops Rosé’s entire luggage in the room. She’s
already off complaining about the size of the bathroom yet she already got the master bedroom.
Massaging his left shoulder, he pulls away the curtains to their balcony and sees somebody standing at
the shore- Jennie to be more exact. His hand drops from his shoulder as he approaches the railing.
There’s a smirk present on his face when he watches her play with the wet sand with her feet. He leans
over on the railing and can’t help but want to run over and wrap her up in his arms.

Just as that thought crosses his mind, a head of black ashy hair darts out from underneath his balcony.
Jaehyun watches silently as Taeyong startles her from behind. They don’t move for a minute then
Taeyong is suddenly dragging Jennie into the water. She clings onto him childishly as if the water might
engulf her whole. Breaking away from Taeyong’s hold, Jennie quickly leans down to scoop some water
and splash it at him. Taeyong’s laughter fills the air when he catches Jennie from behind and spins her in
the air. Her smile is bright and lively while her laughter is whole-hearted with a burst of freshness. The
ways her arms are wrapping around him in return are her own natural movements, not her telling
herself to. When she turns to look at Taeyong her eyes suddenly have a sparkle to them that Jaehyun
didn’t even know she had in her.

That’s when Jaehyun realizes she’s not as broken as she thinks she really is. There’s still a part,
somewhere in her where she is still able to love but too numb to know and feel it. If their little secret is
every exposed, the one breaking won’t be Taeyong but Jennie herself and it’s going to break every little
piece of humanity that’s still left inside of her.
IV - Asianfanfics

The differences in personalities between the girls have never been more obvious than now. Despite
being the one who suggested everyone should go swimming, Rosé was the only one who refused to let
no more than her feet touch he water. Her hair was freshly curled along with a new coat of makeup.
Faux eyelashes were still in and at the very moment, she was applying on another coat of lipstick. Her
swimming suit was covering a little as possible with its bold cheetah print. Unlike Rosé, both Jennie and
Lisa only had a thin layer of BB cream on with a simple one color two-piece swimming suit and their
hairs in their natural state.

“How are you gonna go in the water?” Taeyong asks Rosé and she nearly scoffs in disbelief.

“I’m not,” she states as she pulls her lounge chair closer to the umbrella.

Taeyong gives her a confused look then turns to Jennie. “Jennie, you wanna go in?”

From behind her sunglasses, she notices Jaehyun cocking his head in her direction. She wasn’t so fond
about going into the lake water but she wanted to see Rosé and Jaehyun’s reaction so she took
Taeyong’s hand when he reached out for her.

Jaehyun doesn’t mind sitting in the cool shade but not when Rosé is constantly complaining. Sighing in
annoyance, he rips his shirt off and tosses it into his chair beside Rosé.

“Oppa, where are you going?” She asks.

“You can stay there if you want,” he says, over his shoulder.
He feels as though his head is about to burst from her irritating calls. His eyes are set on Jennie who was
sitting on Taeyong’s shoulder. He doesn’t like the idea of her just doing things to piss him off since she
knows how his dumb girlfriend is.

As expected, Rosé quickly darts after Jaehyun but still refuses to go in. It takes her a few minutes of
examining the other girls before slowly walking up to Jaehyun. Even then in the water, she makes sure
to let everyone know not to let the water touch her face.

Dinner starts off with Rosé lecturing everyone about counting calories and ends with Rosé eating
nothing more than lettuce from their barbeque. The whole night she had her eyes set on Jennie and she
was well aware. Rosé wasn’t used to someone being so silent yet so strong at the same time. Jennie
radiated with confidence and she had all the reasons in the world to be confident. It wasn’t like her to
dislike someone so quickly and easily but Rosé just had a feeling to be cautious of Jennie.

The villa was finally quiet once Rosé was asleep. It was nearly two in the morning but Jennie was still
awake. Beside her Taeyong was shirtless while sleeping on his stomach with one arm thrown over
Jennie’s waist. Her head was pounding from pretending to be friendly all day. Very lightly and quietly,
Jennie removed Taeyong’s arm from her waist before leaning over the bed to find some piece of
clothing. In complete darkness, she puts on the t-shirt she finds, not knowing whether it belonged to her
or Taeyong. It’s not until she stands up that she feels the hem of the shirt hit her mid-thigh, meaning it
was Taeyong’s. She doesn’t bother to put on any more clothing since she was only grabbing a class of
cold water from the kitchen.

Much to her disappointment, she wasn’t alone like how she had expected, though she wasn’t so
surprised either. Jaehyun doesn’t turn to look at her from the living room sofa but he knows she’s there.
Jennie doesn’t say anything either and proceeds to the kitchen as if he was never there. Once grabbing
her cold glass of water, she proceeds towards the sofa and takes a seat next to him.

“Can’t sleep?” She asks, placing the glass down after a sip.

There’s a crack of light coming from the moonlight outside through the curtains and it lands right on
Jennie’s legs. Jaehyun’s eyes start from her toes all the way up until he meet her eyes.
“Fix me,” is all he says and she understands because she was already expecting it.

It was barely on but Taeyong’s shirt is already resting on the ground next to the TV stand. Jennie tries
her best not to dig her nails or let her lips linger anywhere on Jaehyun’s skin for too long since they can’t
risk leaving any marks. Jaehyun doesn’t waist anytime with foreplay and gets right to what he needs.
He’s aggravated because he feels limited. He hates it when he has to hold back in fear of getting caught.

His movements are rough and impatient with his brows tightly knit together. Jaehyun doesn’t bother
letting Jennie take control and instead pins her arms over her head. She doesn’t resist because it’s much
easier for her not to leave some sort of unintentional mark. It’s over much faster than usual and Jaehyun
lets himself fall onto Jennie. Her arms are released and they instantly ravel around his neck. It’s unusual
but Jaehyun just aches to kiss her. His head tilts lightly and his lips brush against her cheek before
meeting hers. There’s a sharp inhale from the both of them and once again body parts become
intertwined together.

There’s a slight pause when they stop for air and Jaehyun takes the moment to open his eyes to look at
her. Sometimes he finds if so ridiculous at how little they know each other yet at the same time they
know everything about the darkest corner in either’s hearts. This world and society works in unusual
ways and sometimes it’s just better not to question it because then emotions get in the way and that’s
when things really become complicated.

The next few days continue to be hell. Lisa and Luhan are in a phase where everything is just lovely
because they have each other. Taeyong keeps coming up with these ideas like hiking and other nature
stuff Jennie doesn’t enjoy but she does it anyway for him and because it’s worth getting the secret
judgmental and envious glances from Rosé. Though the more she has to act, the less she talks since it’s
way too much for her to possibly do both at the same time. Gladly Taeyong doesn’t notice because he’s
not about the details, he’s about the big picture.

Jaehyun on the other hand notices everything. He catches every glance and mutter Rosé does about
Jennie which for some reason gives him a sense of satisfaction. That’s not of course the usual reactions a
fiancé should have but for him the marriage isn’t for love but instead away to leave behind his past of
struggles. He just hopes that one day the love he use to have towards Rosé can return.
Each time Jaehyun is set to meet up with Rosé to talk about their wedding, he always considers meeting
Jennie first. Most times he does but this time he sadly can’t since she barged into his work again. She’s
going off about wedding dress designers and such things that a man usually shouldn’t have to dealt with
when planning a wedding. He doesn’t care about the location, the flavor of the cake or how many guests
are coming. He just wants to make it official and feel the life grow in his bank account. When he first met
Rosé, he knew she wasn’t an ordinary girl in college. She reeked of a riches but that wasn’t what he was
drawn to. Her eyes use to make his stomach churn in unexplainable ways. He use to want to hold her,
kiss her and hear her laugh but there’s no more of that now.

Ever since Rosé finally got into the entertainment industry a little over a year ago, she’s changed and
he’s changed as well. Believe it or not, Rosé used to be a carefree girl. She always had an image to fix
and live up to but it wasn’t until she became an actress that she cared so much about her image.
Jaehyun believes people don’t necessarily change but instead reveal their real selves over the years. It’s
not like he isn’t different either as he barely talks to her but of course Rosé doesn’t notice because she’s
too busy talking about herself.

“I can’t wait to spend forever with you,” she says during the car ride home from the bakery.

Jaehyun blinks. There’s no such thing as forever.

“I never saw myself getting married but that changed after meeting you,” she continues.

Jaehyun turns to her in the passenger side and she smiles. His eyes are blank but he still gives her a
convincing smile. Is it really worth signing basically his whole entire life away just so he doesn’t have to
ever work another day in his life? It took a while for her family to accept him and he tried so hard back
then but now he was just going to crush all their hearts with his selfish needs? It’s not guilt he’s feeling
but rather just another factor in his way.

What is happiness to be exact? Is it that feeling you get as a kid when the ice cream man hands you’re
your absolute favorite flavor? Or is it the feeling you receive when your toes are digging through the
sand with the sun setting across the wide horizon? What is happiness and how do people define such a
vast word? Jennie’s asked herself that question for years and she’s even searched it up out of curiosity.
Happiness: state of well-being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.
What kind of bullshit is that?

It’s a quiet Saturday morning, a mere two weeks since the annoying pension getaway. She had a lunch
date with Taeyong at noon but that was in a few hours and she didn’t feel like it was necessary to get so
worked up over lunch with her boyfriend, even if he was the hottest icon right now. Besides, something
else was on her mind. Even with all her efforts to forget that day, those haunting eyes she saw a few
weeks ago still haunt her. Her parents think she’s insane for believing Jisoo is dead but she thinks they’re
the ones who are insane for accepting that fact so easily. As a parent aren’t you supposed to sacrifice
and go above and beyond for your children? You don’t just simply accept those empty words stating
that your child is dead and carry on with life as if they never existed.

In her shoe closet there’s a box hidden behind the dresses that holds all of Jennie’s recordings and
personal investigations of Jisoo’s “death”. It’s been a long year since she’s last touched it and now it’s
time to bring it back out whether she wants to or not. It’s not the she wants to give up the search for her
sister; it’s the unbearable pain she has to withstand when she brings up Jisoo that she can’t tolerate. It
takes minutes or even seconds for Jaehyun to sedate her into a painless world but before Jaehyun came
along, Jennie had many days where she thought she was just going to wither away in her apartment
without anyone knowing due to the anxiety attacks and suffocating breaths.

Sitting cross-legged in her walk in closet with her box out in front of her, Jennie begins digging into the
box to determine exactly where she left off. Yes she can just simply hire a detective but no one puts any
real effort in when it’s a lone girl insisting her older sister isn’t dead.

There’s a journal along with some photographs Jennie made copies of from the first investigation. They
were captures from a security camera at a store Jisoo went to hours before her alleged death. Jennie
flips the journal open to the last page she left off on.

- January 4th 2011

o I went back to that dreadful place today. That woman who I use to call my mom was covered reeked in
alcohol but it wasn’t because she was drinking but instead it was from that jackass she calls her husband
and who she demands I call father. I know she’s hiding something since she wouldn’t open the door for
me today. I literally had to kick down that ratty door but it didn’t take much effort.

For a mother, losing a child should be worst then burning in a burst of flames. Her tears at the so called
funeral were all fake. She accepted the fact too early for it to be convincing. She called me insane again
and told me Jisoo is dead but I’m not insane and Jisoo is not dead so why is everyone so against me right
now. Is it wrong for me to search for my dear sister? So if she is dead, is it wrong for me to find her so
she can receive a proper burial?

Jisoo, I’ll find you.

Jennie feels her chest tightening and her fists turn white from her tight grip on the journal. Despite her
body already warning her, Jennie continues to search through the box. There’s not much about the
investigation but more of childhood memories that Jennie had put away to conceal Jisoo and for her
own sanity. Her eyes burn with tears and her head begins to fog with an unwanted memory.

“Why are you here?!”

“What do you know that you’re not telling me?!” Jennie demands from the doorway, her heavy breaths
coming out in white puffs due to the broken heater in the middle of winter. “You’re hiding something, I
know it!”

“Did your dad send you?” the middle aged woman asks and Jennie angrily kicks the drawer next to her.

“Why are you hiding Jisoo? What did you do to her? What did that drunken bastard convince you to do
to her?!” Jennie shouted with her veins popping out in her neck. Her mother’s eyes widen as she slowly
backs into the wall.

“You crazy bitch, she’s dead! Jisoo is dead! Why can’t you just accept that?” Her mother shouts in return
and Jennie flings everything off the drawer top onto the ground. “Why are you doing this to me? What
kind of daughter are you?!”
“What kind of fucking mother are you?!” Jennie retorts with her nostrils flared and fists tightened. “You
cheated on my dad, split us up and left this stranger abuse my sister! She was the only person who ever
loved me and you let him take her away!” Her chest rises quickly as she glares down her frightened
mother. “Tell me, what did you do to Jisoo? Tell me you evil bitch!”

Her head snaps to the side after her mother gives her a hard slap across the cheek. The sting is nothing
compared to the heart wrenching pain Jennie deals with on a daily basis.

“This is why I left you with your father, you’re just like him, you inconsiderate brat. You don’t think I love
you? I gave birth to you! I carried you inside of me for nine months! I almost died giving birth to you!”
She yells but Jennie scoffs in disbelief.

“I don’t care who gave birth to me at this point,” she says in a crazy laugh before tightly grasping her
mother in her clutches. “Where’s Jisoo, I’m not going to leave the two of you alone until I get an answer.
She was last seen with your damned husband of yours, what did he do to her?”

“Yeobo!” Her mother screeches and Jennie pushes her down onto the ground.

An arm wraps themselves around Jennie and the alcohol smell poisons her nose. Her heartbeat begins
racing as she tries to wrestle the drunkard off of her. Thanks to her blackbelt in taekwondo, she flips him
onto his back before darting out of the house.

Jennie feels her airway tightening and her hand grasps tightly on her shirt. Her eyes are cloudy and she
feels as though her heart is going to explode. Her cries come out in hoarse desperate calls and she really
believes this is it for her. She tries to envision the way Jaehyun’s fingers linger over her skin and the
burning sensation his lips leave wherever they touch but nothing works. Jennie sinks into the ground
with her long brown locks concealing her face. She lets out one loud cry in hopes it would all just vanish.

Suddenly she’s pulled up and wrapped up in a familiar embrace. His voice is deep and full of concern as
he lifts her up into his arms.
“Jennie!” Taeyong calls desperately, setting her on the bed.

Her hand suddenly clasps on his shirt and he turns to her hopeless eyes.

“I’m calling an ambulance,” he states but she holds him back.

“Don’t. Leave. Me,” she demands through gritted teeth. “Stay here.”

V - Asianfanfics

Hair disheveled, t-shirt falling off the corner of one shoulder, Jennie was looking like a mess as she tried
to collect herself after one of the worst anxiety attacks she’s had in a long while. Seated on the edge of
her bed with a glass of water in her hands, all Jennie can think of is how she can get to Jaehyun. Taeyong
on the other hand is confused as ever while digging through Jennie’s secret box. She’s so exhausted that
she doesn’t even care to stop him plus, this day had to come sooner or later. She just wished she wasn’t
so out of it when it happened.

“So you have a sister, an older sister to be exact?” Taeyong asks with the journal in his hands as he exits
the large closet. “Named, Jessica KimJisoo?”

Jennie doesn’t react and her eyes remain dazed. Taeyong doesn’t bother to force it out of her either and
takes a seat next to her on the bed.

“And you have panic attacks whenever you think of it,” he continues, casually flipping through the
slightly worn out journal. “Where is she now?”

“I don’t know,” Jennie finally responds.

Her throat hurts and it’s coarse from her cries. She finishes the water in two gulps and gets up to leave
but Taeyong grabs her wrist. She doesn’t turn to him and he doesn’t make her. His hand moves to the
glass in her hand and slips it out of her fingers. He sets it down on the nightstand before turning around
to face her. Taeyong has always known there was another side to Jennie but he’s not one to dig things
out of people. He knows how fragile she is despite the radiating confidence that she somehow manages
to carry. For the first time ever since he’s met her, he’s finally able to see that dark side she’s always hid
from him. Her eyes were so hollow it made him pity her.

Sitting in the living room now, decides it’s time to fess up. Taeyong doesn’t squeak a word nor move
during her confession. His expression doesn’t change either. Jennie has never talked so much about
herself before and now that she was saying things out loud, her life was just a freaking mess. She feels
more than exhausted after she finishes. They were supposed to have lunch together four hours ago but
since she suffered another one of her panic attacks, they had to skip out on it and Jennie wasn’t a
breakfast person, meaning she hasn’t eaten all day.

“I’m hungry,” she mutters, getting off the couch to leave for the kitchen.

There’s a platter of pizza and some leftover pasta from last night that would probably serve her hunger
for a few hours.

“Why didn’t you tell me any of this?” Taeyong asks, rising up from the sofa to follow her.

The fridge closes after her and she places the pasta in the microwave while leaving the pizza on the
counter. Turning to Taeyong, she sighs.

“Because I don’t want to be pitied and I don’t sympathy from people,” she replied coldly.

Frustrated, Taeyong walks around the counter into the kitchen. Spinning her away from the microwave,
he makes her face him. “That’s not my point. I am your best friend, your boyfriend, do you not trust
me?”
She sighs. “That’s not it. I just don’t like going around telling people about my life.”

“Does Lisa know?” He asks and Jennie blinks.

“What do you think?” She mutters before turning to grab her pasta from the beeping microwave. “I
didn’t tell you until now so what makes you think Lisa knows.”

Taeyong lets her take her meal over to the kitchen island before continuing with his questions.

“So now what?” He asks.

She turns to him with a slight scowl. “What?”

“Your sister, I’ll help you even though nobody else believes you, I believe you. Just let me take some of
this pain away from you,” he states.

The pasta is still untouched and Jennie sighs, ignoring her crying stomach. “My own family doesn’t
believe me, why would you? The officials won’t even search with me, why would you, Jong In? Maybe I
am just a delusional girl.”

She turns away to take a bite of her pasta and Taeyong knows she’s dead serious since she used his
Korean name.

“Because I love you,” Taeyong replies and she pauses. “Because I love you and I am willing to do
everything for you.”

Jennie wishes so badly right now to feel emotions. She wants to feel guiltly for cheating on him,
happiness from Taeyong confessing his love for her and she waits but nothing comes. Nothing comes
and the numbness remains. His hand snakes to hers on her lap before he slowly engulfs her in his warm
embrace. His head rests on top of hers with head against his chest. She wishes for his warmth to melt
her cold soul but she knows it’s impossible. Her hand reaches up to wrap around the nape of his neck.

“I love you,” she whispers and he tilts his head down to meet her eyes.

He smiles softly before kissing her forehead.

Jennie vows again that if she were ever able to love again, she would love Kim Jong In and Kim Jong In
only.

Taeyong thought it was best to stay the night at Jennie’s. In his arms, Jennie lies awake, restless and
broken. Once she’s sure that Taeyong was asleep, she quietly slips away from him and dresses herself
before sneaking out of her own apartment. Her destination is clearer than ever and she’s just itching to
get there as soon as possible.

Jaehyun’s home is 30 minutes away from her own and it’s located in a small neighborhood with lots of
drunkards roaming around. It’s one in the morning and Jennie locks her car door before jolting to the
house with the rickety red gates. She clutches into the top and climbs over the gates before landing in
front of his house. Her feet are quick and impatient as her fingers fumble with the keys to his house. She
knows he’s not asleep but she since she was such in a rush, she forgot her phone at home. The door
slides open for her finally and Jaehyun steps out of his kitchen, shirtless and a bit confused.

The sight of him sets relief into her system but she feels weaker than ever. Dragging her feet, she meets
him halfway in his living room. Jaehyun takes one look at her and he questions how she was even able to
get to him. He kisses her softly yet with need. Jennie doesn’t respond at first because she wants to feel
the burning of his lips against hers. She needs to feel it. His hand snakes around her waist, pulling her
closer.

In Jaehyun’s bed, his head dips between Jennie’s legs and her breathing hitches with her back arched.
Her thoughts wander back to her journal and her mind glitches as she tries to grasp onto the present
and accept the pass. Taeyong’s face flashes through her eyes but that doesn’t stop her or even give her
the smallest urge to stop. Images of her childhood with Jisoo follow after and her chest tightens again.
This isn’t supposed to happen, Jaehyun is supposed to fix her. If he can’t then who will?
“Jennie.”

Someone’s calling her.

“Snap out of it Jennie,” the voice says again and this time she recognizes the voice. She feels the heat of
Jaehyun’s kisses again and she just needs one more push to get back to the present. “Stop thinking
Jennie.” Jaehyun presses his lips on hers and Jennie feels the heat forming in her lower abdomen as
Jaehyun continues his pace between her legs. “Think of me,” he whispers into her ear and she
concentrates on how their bodies melt together, the way the streetlights sneak into Jaehyun’s bedroom
through the blinds along with the tension in his touches.

Jaehyun usually never asks but this time, curiosity got the better of him. She walks out of his bathroom a
towel around her and picks up her clothing from the ground. After dressing herself, she takes a seat at
the foot of his bed while using the towel to dry her hair.

“What happened?” He asks and her hand drops from the towel into her lap.

“He found out about Jisoo,” she says, her eyes gazing into the empty bedroom that was the size of her
closet.

“How?”

“I was digging through the box and he found me, dying on the floor,” she scoffs. “I thought I was strong
enough to start again,” her jaw tenses, “Who was I kidding.”

“That’s where your mind kept wandering off to,” he mumbles quietly. “What did he say?”

She pauses. “That he loves me.”

“That’s it?”

Jennie turns to him. “There is nobody in this world that is as nice, genuine and understanding as
Taeyong. Why of all people, did he fall in love with me? It’s like the devil presented himself to me
through an angel.”

“We accept the love that we think we deserve,” he replies and she meets his eyes in the dark.

“Really? Do you think you deserve Rosé then?”

In the backseat of a black van with heavily tinted windows, Lisa’s scanning through the script of her next
project as she heads out to the first script reading with the cast. Dressed in a simple vintage t-shirt with
faded jeans and sneakers, she enters the broadcasting station beside her manager, with her script in
hand. She greets all the staff members and other actors in the room before taking her seat in the middle
of the long conference table. Just as she reopens her script, the door opens and a familiar face walks in
before the name registers in her head: Lee Rosé.

After the reading is done, Lisa was heading out when Rosé stops her and suggests they get dinner
together. Judging from their pension getaway, Rosé doesn’t really eat so Lisa hesitates but agrees to in
the end.

“How have you been?” Rosé asks after she sips her sparkling water out of a straw.

“Great, and you? I didn’t think the Lee Rosé would be you,” Lisa replies with a soft smile.

Rosé giggles. “I got the part two days ago actually.”

Lisa slowly nods, keeping the smile on her face. They talk a lot about Luhan and how Lisa and he are and
Rosé likes to compare them a lot to her and Jaehyun which annoys Lisa because it’s obvious Rosé just
wants to talk about herself.

Somehow the topic gets onto Jennie.

“Is Jennie usually that quiet?” Rosé asks and Lisa glances up from her meal.

“Jennie’s more on the introverted side. She’s been like that ever since i’ve known her,” Lisa says.

Rosé nods slowly. “Isn’t she hard to approach?”

Lisa purses her lips. “At first she was but really, Jennie is the sweetest person ever. She just has a hard
outer shell because of her parent’s divorce.”

“She’s really mysterious,” Hyer continues, poking into her small bowl of salad. “Taeyong seems to be
totally heads over heels in love with her.”

Lisa chuckles, cutting into her medium rare sirloin steak. “You bet, I mean he chased her throughout our
entire college years. You know, Jaehyun Oppa seems to be just like Taeyong too. I mean he looks like
he’s willing to do anything for you.”

Rosé gives Lisa a smile to confirm Lisa’s assumptions as well as convince herself that Jaehyun still loves
her. Rosé’s not blind, Jaehyun’s not in love with her anymore but that’s not going to stop her from
trying.

Leaves rattle as they’re dragged across the broken concrete by the wind. There are cement walls lining
either side of the road and they’re just as broken as the road itself with dull marks of random graffiti.
Along one side of the road parks a black Mercedes Benz with heavily tinted black windows, reeking of
riches and a definitely not something that should be seen in such an area. Inside the car sits Rosé in the
passenger side with her eyes staring out into space. She blinks, grabbing her bag from the passenger
side, Rosé finally exits the car. She begins toward the rickety faded red gates and pushes them open to
enter. Her heels click at every step she takes and it echoes throughout the neighborhood. She raises a
hand to knock on the door and a few moments later the door swings open to reveal Jaehyun. She meets
his eyes with a smile and he does one in return, soullessly.

She sits in the small living room with his laptop opened and color schemes scattered across the coffee
table. Jaehyun’s in the kitchen tinkering around and like usual, he hasn’t said much since she’s walked in
so Rosé tries to initiate something.

“I ran into Lisa the other day,” she begins, turning to see his reaction in the kitchen. “Turns out we’re
casted for the same drama.”

He turns around with a small smile on his lips with two glasses of lemonade in hand. Jaehyun sinks into
the seat next to her before slipping one of the glass cups into her hand. “Really? It’s the one where the
main character deceives his way to the top right?”

Rosé nods after a sip of her lemonade and sets it on the table. “It seems like her and Luhan are still going
well. I mean she was literally glowing at the mention of him.”

Jaehyun only gives her a smile before his attention diverts to the laptop screen. He begins researching
about honeymoon resorts and Rosé sighs before wrapping her arms around his waist, resting her chin
on his broad shoulder. Even the touch of him feels cold on her fingertips. When did this love become so
exhausted and hollow, she wonders.

“Why do you still chose to live here when you make so much money?” Rosé asks while they were
making seating arrangements together.
Jaehyun doesn’t stop what he’s doing but he responds with a short answer. “Because it’s quiet.”

She turns to him. “Then are you okay with moving into the city?”

His eyes flicker to meet hers. “Are you willing to come live here?”

Rosé wishes she can say yes because she loves him and she can do that much for him but, she can’t and
he smiles knowing that already.

“As long as I have you,” he says, “and plus, it’s much closer to where I work so don’t worry about me.”

Despite knowing that he probably doesn’t mean that much, Rosé still smiles like always. Even if he
doesn’t love her like he used to, as long as she can have him by her side. He’s her sanity and he’s all she
needs.

In the living room of Jennie’s lavish apartment sits Taeyong who is still occupied by Jennie’s little secret
box, even a week after the incident. He’s been filling himself in on her past and made sure to ask as little
questions as possible to prevent another one of her severe panic attacks. In the kitchen, she feels a
headache forming so she pops a few ibuprofen into her mouth then washes it down with ice cold water.

Nothing can stop Taeyong once he’s started on something so Jennie doesn’t even bother to say anything
to him unless he asks. He seemed hopeful at first, determined to find her older sister but as he digs
himself deeper into the grave that Jennie has begun digging at years ago, he just can’t seem to tie the
ends of any loose strings.

“When’s the last time you visited your mother?” Taeyong asks, brows knitted tightly as he flips through
all family photos.
“The last entry in the journal was the last,” she says, walking into the living room but keeping her
distance from her past that is scatter on the coffee table in pictures, journal entries and other
documents.

“How come you haven’t gone since?” He continues, bolder than usual about the questions.

Arms folded and back leaned against the wall, Jennie tries her best to keep her composure while
preventing herself from thinking of that dreadful memory, especially the smell of the alcohol that
poisoned her senses.

“Mentally, emotionally,” she names flatly, “I am not able to. I’d probably really die if I enter that place
again. There are nothing but horrid things in that place. Also,” Jennie pushes herself off the wall before
turning to her bedroom. “Don’t call that woman my mother.”

Jennie tries something different for once but she’s hesitant. The last time she tried something new, it
became a habit and not a very good one since it was Jaehyun. Others would see it as an addiction or
obsession but to Jennie he’s just there for revival reasons.

The contrast between her disowned mother’s house and her father’s estate is like heaven and hell
although she doesn’t like to associate with either. Since she had just returned from a board meeting, she
was quite dressed up in a Gucci dress, nude Louboutin heels and her Marc Jacobs clutch. The heels
clicked as she stormed up the steps to the lavish mansion that she left for good once she left to the
States for college.

The maids are more than startled to find her in the estate but they don’t question her. Usually she tries
to soften her eyes on strangers but today just wasn’t her day for putting in any effort to seem less scary.

“Is my Father home?” She asks flatly while strutting to his office on the second floor.

“No, he and your stepmother are vacationing in Greece,” answers a shaky maid and Jennie releases a
sigh.
“Alright,” she spins around to face her. “I won’t be here for long.”

She nods and Jennie continues in her tracks towards her destination.

The door to his office was locked like how she expected but the password is guessable. She types in
Jisoo’s lunar birth date and it snaps open for her. It’s organized and spot clean with a strong smell of
wood polisher. In here lies her father’s biggest secrets involving the company, his broken marriages, his
children and himself.

When people have to hide big secrets, they leave them in the most public places because that’s where
people least expect them to be. Jennie knows because she probably bears more secrets than the
government does.

She’s not shy about her return home and just rips everything off the shelves of the office. She flips
through documents, boxes, folders, cabinets and drawers in search of answers but gets nothing. It can’t
be in the master bedroom either since he wouldn’t want his wives to accidentally stumble upon it.

Standing in the pile of papers, Jennie feels tired but she hasn’t given up hope just quite yet. If she can’t
find this secret, then she’ll take another one to her advantage. Sighing, she searches through the pile on
the ground to find something beneficial for her blackmail.

Yes, it is quite low that she’s planning on blackmailing her own father but right now the truth is more
important to her than the image of her father. On her hands and knees, she finds a file on a sexual
harassment case that happened in the company. It happened a few years ago but Jennie clearly
remembers the blow that happened once the news got out. Obviously it was covered up and fabricated
into nothing but premeditated, detailed lies, all in favor of the company. The woman was accused of
seducing the men in the office in hopes of climbing higher into the field when really she was just a young
woman, fresh out of college with pretty looks who was taken advantage of by no-good filthy men.
Grabbing the file, she gets up, brushes herself off then leaves the office in a mess. She does have the
courtesy to lock the door behind her but only because she wants her father to know of her little trip
back to a place she’s suppose to call “home”.

Filming begins for the drama in which everyone Jennie knows happens to be casted in. Trying to be the
best girlfriend and best friend to the two most special people to her, Jennie prepares a gourmet buffet
for the entire crew.

While everyone was eating, Lisa pulls her aside to talk.

“I heard from Taeyong that you’re not feeling so well,” she says, concern lining her innocent eyes. “Are
you okay now?”

Sighing, Jennie pierces holes into Taeyong in the background before focusing on Lisa. “I’m good. He just
walked in on me while I was having a panic attack, that’s all. You know how Taeyong is, he’s super
dramatic.”

Lisa frowns. “I didn’t know you get panic attacks, when did this all start?”

Chewing on her bottom lip, Jennie can feel a slight burn when she rips off a small piece of skin. “Um, I’ve
had them for a while but they don’t happen quite often. It’s really nothing to worry about.”

Lisa sighs with a slight smile returning. “Alright then. Oh by the way,” she drops down the volume of her
voice and leans in closer to Jennie.

“Rosé is like obsessed with you for some reason. She’s always talking about you.”

Jennie raises a brow at the actress while noticing Rosé seated next to Taeyong at one of the picnic
tables. “Really? Now what does she say?”
Lisa scoffs before flipping her hair out of her eyes. “She questions your existence basically. Who are you,
where are you from, how you really are, how you and Taeyong are,” Lisa sighs, clearly annoyed. “I think
she’s either jealous or intimidated by you after that trip.”

Jennie snorts silently before folding her arms. It’s quite funny how Rosé tries so hard to know her when
her best source is her own fiance.

“Well, who wouldn’t be?” Jennie mocks and Lisa snickers. “I am, Jennie KimJennie.”

When Jennie holds the hands of Taeyong, she can feel his heat just trying to penetrate through her thick
walls of ice. After lunch, he walks her to her car with a happy smile on his lips.

“Thanks for today,” he says, releasing her hands to wrap his arms around her waist instead. “Clearly
you’re the best girlfriend in the world.”

Jennie gives him a smile. “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you.”

It’s the truth despite it sounding like a lie.

“Anyways,” Taeyong says after a brief pause. “I thought about telling you sooner but I wasn’t sure if it
was the right decision. I have a close friend who is an investigator and if you want, we can ask him for his
help.”

Jennie pulls away from his warmth and backs up towards her car. “No. When I let you help me, I meant
us finding the truth by ourselves. My father is the CEO of KimEnterprise, eighth richest man in South
Korea. He has everyone under his little reign, it is hopeless. Nobody is going to tell us the truth because
this society would rather swim in a money pile full of lies and deceits than expose the raw truth.”
At her remark, Taeyong scoffs. “Why are you so quick to assume? So what people have shut you down,
that doesn’t mean you shut everyone else out. Also, what makes you think everyone is the same?
Jennie, I’m trying to help you and in order for us to get somewhere, I would appreciate it if you would
even give my suggestion some thought.”

She exhales sharply with a hand running through her hair. There are too many eyes and ears here.

“We’ll talk about this later,” she says in a low whisper, walking back up to him to cup her hand around
the nape of his neck, letting her fingers crawl into his hair. “This isn’t the time and place.”

She leans in to plant a gentle kiss on his lips before tugging out a smile. “Have fun filming, love you.”

Sighing, Taeyong watches her walk over to the other side of the car. Jennie pauses at the door and
meets his eyes.

“Don’t be mad at me,” she says and he sighs again.

“Love you too Babe,” he grins slightly before she enters the sedan.

It’s been weeks since Jaehyun’s encounter with Jennie and sanity was literally at the tips of his fingers
now. The more time he spent with Rosé, the more he didn’t want to get married despite knowing that
was a decision he made long ago with no intentions of turning back on. He massages his temples while
sitting at the bar, waiting for more customers to enter before taking the tiny stage with busted speakers
and taped microphone stand. In front of him is a glass of Jack that momentarily distracts him when it
burns down his throat.

The clicking of heels pound through his eardrums and just by the confident steps, he can tell who they
belong to. The vacant seat next to him becomes occupied moments later by a warmth Jaehyun is all too
familiar with.
“You know I hate the smell of alcohol,” Jennie states bitterly, eyes and jaws tensed on Jaehyun.

He eyes her quickly before scoffing. “The way if leaves a burning trail down my throat,” he says, picking
up the glass to eye it. “It feels good. It’s a distraction from the real numbing pain. You should give it a
try.”

Jennie rolls her eyes. “Let’s go. My skin is itching and I’m starting to lose it.”

“Your fiancee is quite interested in me,” Jennie says during the ride home with Jaehyun in the
passenger. “Why is that, Jaehyun?”

Eyes focused on the city lights, Jaehyun leans back in the leather seat. “She’s intimidated by you. Your
beauty, status, confidence and the way you present yourself. You’re everything she isn’t.”

“Then why not marry me instead?” Jennie mocks with a smirk. “Why settle for less when more is right in
your hands.”

Jaehyun scoffs, amused by Jennie. “Don’t make me take you up on the offer.”

In the cup holder, Jennie’s phone light up with a call from her father. It was about time he found out
since she was getting bored waiting.

“Yes?” She says, picking up his call.

“How dare you defy me!” He barks loudly to the point Jaehyun’s head snaps to her.

“I’ll cut the crap for you,” Jennie sighs, eyes focused on the road. “Tell me about Jisoo or else I’ll destroy
you.”
“Jisoo is dead, Jennie,” he states bitterly through gritted teeth. “Jennie, you need to get some help.”

“I’m not asking for your advice,” she snaps. “I’m demanding you to tell me where my sister is. Is that too
much to ask for, father?”

“Come home and we’ll talk,” he suggests and she inhales.

“I didn’t want to do this,” she begins, sounding slightly amused. “I’m pretty sure you don’t want to
public to know of how fabricated and horrid your empire is. I have the files regarding Kim Minyoung and
five of your little office dogs. We all want the truth and I’m pretty sure the public won’t mind hearing the
truth of how you paid millions to conceal your dirty secrets.”

Silence comes from the other line and Jennie smirks.

VII - Asianfanfics

They drive through a line of designer boutiques and her eyes notice a new JJ boutique that was recently
opened. The designer is Korean but he focused in Japan until recently deciding to expand in South
Korea. Jennie’s been quite interested in his works since his designs were right up her alley. The designer,
Kim Jaejoong, is a secretive man and there’s almost nothing personal about him out there. The lights
turn off inside before the doors open.

From the streetlights, Jennie can see the person stepping out clearly. Her father’s words never reach her
as her phone falls out of her hands and into her lap. Jaehyun turns to her, discovering her wide eyed and
in shock.

“SOOJUNG BRAKE!” Jaehyun shouts but it’s too late and their airbags pop.
The pressure of the bag popping knocks the air out of her but Jennie could care less. Pushing the bag
down while trying to get her breath back as soon as possible, she unfastens her seatbelt before
stumbling out of the car.

The passenger in the car they hit also comes stumbling out but he’s surprised to see Jennie running
somewhere else. Confused as well, Jaehyun exits the wrecked car and follows her, ignoring the shouts
from the older man.

“Where are you going?” Jaehyun shouts, coughing and clutching onto his chest.

“I saw her.”

“Who?” Jaehyun coughs, trying to get rid of the smoke he accidentally inhaled from the accident.

“Her.” Jennie says and it clicks for him.

He catches her in his arms before she falls onto the ground from her legs giving up. Shaking her head,
Jennies grips onto Jaehyun as the tightening feeling in her chest returns. Her airway closes and her voice
turns hoarse. She wants to continue chasing for her but Jennie just can’t. Her eyes sting from tears and
she can literally feel the life being sucked out of her.

She can still feel the warmth of Jaehyun’s hands though. One of his hand cups her cheek, flicking away
the hair on her face before he brings his lips down to meet hers. It’s a daring move to do in public but
it’s the only way. It’s kiss filled with urgency and need.

Jaehyun’s so broken but it’s ironic he can still heal someone with the fragments he has left.

The moment his lips leave hers, they’re at her ears, singing words of assurance, bringing her back to life.
“Stay with me.”

Her nails dig into his biceps and he winces from the pain but it’s nothing compared to her agonizing
cries. Jennie knows she’s nothing but a hot mess but now is not the time to care about looks. It didn’t
matter anyway since Jaehyun’s already seen it all. He continues to cradle her in his chest, letting his
warmth spread to her, making sure she gets intoxicated with him.

“Everything will be alright,” he continues softly yet convincingly. “Jennie Sweetie.”

Desperate now, Jaehyun kisses her fiercely until he feels her body relax in his arms. Her body goes limp
and he finally pulls away to a tear stained Jennie.

“I saw her,” she mumbles, weakly. “Jaehyun I saw her.”

Wiping away the wetness on her cheeks, he nods slowly and that’s all she needs, for someone to believe
her.

Taeyong is in a daze as he and Lisa are running through the halls of the hospital. He would have missed
his beloved girlfriend if it weren’t for Lisa who spotted Jaehyun by Jennie’s bedside.

“Jennie,” Taeyong breathes, worried sick ever since he received her call.

Jaehyun lets himself vanish into the whiteness of the walls while Lisa and Taeyong rush over to Jennie.
He has her in his embrace at once with questions spilling out one after another. Lisa sighs in then turns
to Jaehyun.

“Are you okay? We heard the two of you were in the accident,” she says, sincere worries lining her
usually bright eyes.
Jaehyun hesitates for a moment since he’s not used to such real sincerity. He nods in response. “Yeah, it
was a small accident but she just had a little panic attack, that’s all.”

Once Taeyong’s finished checking Jennie over with his own eyes, he turns to Jaehyun and thanks the guy
for being there. Jaehyun only gives him a small smile and nod.

Rosé makes her dramatic appearance a lot later than the others but she doesn’t say much once she finds
Jennie sleeping on the bed next to Jaehyun’s. Curiosity and suspicions take over the worries she had
moments ago, leaving her wondering why they were in the same car together.

Taeyong takes Jennie home later that night after the two of them were both released from the
hospitals. In the passenger side of her boyfriend’s lavish car, Jennie has her fists clenched tightly,
fighting for the last bit of sanity to stay a moment longer. She was fine until she saw her running away.
The ride home is blurry but painful. She needs to see Jaehyun, to feel his touches, to let his kiss burn her
skin, to whisper sweet lullabies to soothe her broken soul, she needs to be fixed.

Upon entering her apartment, Jennie tries to picture the places where Jaehyun was, the places he
touched, leaving a small trace of him, even that can soothe a bit of her.

“I’m going to go take a bath,” Jennie says, back facing Taeyong while slowly walking towards her
bedroom. “You can stay the night.”

The hot water helps in relaxing the tense muscles but only adds fuel to the desire inside her. He’s
become her drug and without him, she cannot live in peace. When she closes her eyes, she can see his
face peering down at her, imagine his hands running along the side of her arms and the line of goose
bumps his hot breathe creates on her skin. It’s not necessary lust, just a need to feel whole and alive.

When she exits her bathroom in a tank top and silk shorts, Taeyong is already between her sheets with a
mug of hot passion fruit tea waiting for her. He’s shirtless, revealing the outlines of his abs, making any
women on the street drop their panties.
Jennie slides into his awaiting arms and gently refuses the tea he prepared. She’s exhausted from the
day but sleep doesn’t want to come to her just yet. She buries herself in his chest, wanting him to relieve
her in the same way Jaehyun does. Jennie knows she loves Taeyong but why can’t he have the same
effect on her?

“I was so worried,” Taeyong whispers for the npth time that night.

“I’m fine,” she croaks, her eyes traveling from his deliciously thick lips to his gentle brown eyes. “It
wasn’t anything serious.”

He gives her a small smile with one hand reaching out to cup her cheek. “Ah, I forgot to ask. How come
Jaehyun Hyung was with you?”

The question should trigger some guilt but it doesn’t.

“We ran into each other outside of a cafe and I offered to take him home,” she lies and the worries in his
eyes vanish.

Why must he believe everything she says?

She proceeds to wrap her arms around his naked torso, enclosing the distance between them so her
curves can melt along his. In the middle of his collar bone, she places a soft kiss on his skin, giving him
goose bumps from the touch. Taeyong leans down to meet her lips in the next second and although
they’re perfectly in sync with their lips, breathing and heartbeat, Jennie just can’t understand why it
must be Jung Jaehyun and not the man holding her to sleep.

The doors to Jennie’s office is locked again with Jaehyun being her special visitor. He has her sprawled
out on top of her glass desk, exposed and yearning for his touch. On his knees, Jaehyun buries his lips
and tongue deep within her folds, pleasuring her with all his might. Bony fingers tug at his hair while she
struggles to mute her cries of lust. Her whimpers add fuel to the fire burning inside of him and it doesn’t
help him much with the fact that he’s gone weeks without her touches.
Before she can climax, Jaehyun lifts her small body into his arms and carries her to the sofa where he
sets her down. He continues where he left off without another pause. Fingers replace his tongue and she
hisses in response.

When they’re together, their minds become a blank canvas with no worries in the world to stop them.
It’s only when their bodies are intertwined that they’re in solitude bliss. Once the moment ends, they’re
back to unwanted questions revolving around their complicated need for one another.

Between her thighs, Jaehyun continues to move inside her, hitting her special spot that he’s learned to
locate at once. Fingers interlocked together, he holds her hands above her head, letting his lips freely
kiss the tenderness of her neck and teeth graze along her collarbones. One heartbeat beats before the
other, one inhales while the other exhales and everything else is off by just a little but their minds are
together in a place where it’s impossible to define, creating something better than perfection.

VIII - Asianfanfics

There’s a red scar starting from the curve of Jaehyun’s neck, running all the way between his collarbones
to the middle of his chest from the snapping of the seat belt. It stings slightly but not enough to make
any complaints or whine like a child. Another figure joins him in the reflection of the mirror and he looks
up to meet her eyes.

“Shall I ask?” Rosé says, arms folded as she leans against the doorframe of his bathroom.

He slips the ointment he used earlier into the drawer, using it as an excuse to break eye contact. “We
ran into each other at a cafe and she offered to take me home.”

“Were you planning on telling me?” She continues, jealousy and insecurities lining every word.
Jaehyun turns around to face her and in the dim light, he can see how she’s trying to keep herself
together. “Of course.”

Thin arms fall to her side and she steps towards him. Jaehyun leans back on the sink, letting her
approach him. Rosé has her eyes focused on the line across his body. Her fingertips graze across it and
although Jaehyun doesn’t mutter a single word, she can see his jaw tensing. It hurts.

“When I got the call, thoughts of losing you drove me insane,” she confesses in a whisper.

His eyes travel up her lips to find her eyes avoiding his.

“It was then I realised I can’t live without you,” she leans in closer into him and naturally, his hand
reaches out to rest on her tiny waist. In the silence of the night, he hears a sharp inhale from her. “I
don’t know how to. I don’t remember how life was without you.”

Finally, Rosé brings her eyes up to meet his awaiting one. His brows are slightly furrowed, ears alert and
listening to her every word of fear. The gaze sends chills down her spine.

“Don’t ever leave me, please,” she breathes across his lips.

it’s not that she’s scared me might leave her one day, she knows it’s coming.

One hand leaves her waist to tuck her hair back then cup her cheek. He makes the initiative to close the
small distance between them, letting his lips slip into the curve of hers. Does she not see any worth in
herself, he wonders. She’s a precious jewel that any man would want to love and cherish so why is she
clinging onto the last pieces of him, knowing how exhausted their love is. It’s tiring and Jaehyun has
already given up, now he’s more than less leeching off her.

Many people decide to stay in relationships because they don’t want to make an effort to forgive, forget
and move on. They’re afraid of change.
He won’t ever leave her unless she makes the initiative to leave him first and it’s tempting not to make
her do it.

It’s a rainy day in Seoul. Gray clouds cover the polluted sky over the skyscrapers but Seoul refuses to
hide from it. It’s Jennie’s favorite type of weather because it’s a day where she doesn’t have to
constantly compete with outshining the sun’s brightness.

Someone once told her long ago that love is full of sacrifices and sometimes it involves doing things you
don’t want for your significant other. That same person who told her that now reaches his hand out to
intertwine his fingers with hers. She latches onto him tightly, turning to meet his smiling gaze
momentarily before turning back to her window.

She’s finally agreed to meet with this investigator friend of Taeyong’s. Maybe one more try wouldn’t be
bad, especially after seeing her with her own eyes the other night.

They arrive at an office downtown in the afternoon. Everyone recognizes them immediately, creating
whispers filled with curiosity. Following closely behind Taeyong, Jennie’s eyes focuses on the gold plate
on the door: Chief Park Chanyeol.

They’re sitting in his personal office now which is neat to the point where Jennie wonders if he ever
even uses it. She sees herself on a magazine that sits on his coffee table, without them noticing, she flips
it over to conceal the oh-so-fake-smile.

Park Chanyeol is a tall man with just about the right amount of muscle on him. He doesn’t have a
chiseled face, nor one of a baby’s either. His smile is extremely cheeky which goes along with the big
googly brown eyes. He has a habit of licking his lips which Jennie has come to realize in the past few
minutes.
“So I did some research after getting a confirmation from Taeyong here,” Chanyeol says, seating himself
across the couple with a manila file.

She notices how he uses Taeyong’s Korean name. She assumes they must know each other fairly well.

He spreads the documents he has across the table and nothing is new to Jennie as she has an exact copy
of everything he has in his possession.

“Being that her body was never found, there is hope that she may be out there still,” he continues,
glancing up at Jennie with his palms rubbing together.

“I saw her,” Jennie says, cutting off Chanyeol. “I saw her leaving JJ Boutique. That’s what led me to get
into the accident.”

Chanyeol turns to Taeyong and he gives the older one a small nod.

The meeting doesn’t last long and it wasn’t very productive either. It was as if Chanyeol was avoiding
everything and there was a hint of mockery in everything he said. Jennie already knew what he was
thinking since this is not the first time she’s been labeled as a psycho.

The tall giant walks them out, giving them empty promises of how he’ll do his best to help them. When
they bid him farewell, he asks to talk to Taeyong alone and Jennie gives them a small smile of approval
before leaving to the car first. The rain has stopped and in the far sky, she can see a clearing of blue.

“You’re not serious about this are you?” Chanyeol whispers to Ka once Jennie is in the car.

Brows furrowed, Taeyong faces the older one. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
Chanyeol scoffs. “Dude, there’s something off about your girlfriend. This just might be her way of getting
attention from her family. She’s been seeing several therapists who have come to give up on her and not
to mention her panic attacks.”

Taeyong’s usually soft eyes turn into a dangerous scowl. “I know Jennie and if you took the chance to
know her, you wouldn’t be saying such things. If you don’t want to help us, just say so because you’re
wasting our time.”

“Fine,” Chanyeol states, hands on his waist. “I’d rather not waste my time helping a delusional snotty girl
who’s too high on her pedestal to face reality.”

“That delusional snotty girl who’s too high on her pedestal is my girlfriend,” Taeyong growls, inching
closer to Chanyeol. “Watch what you say.” He smirks slightly. “At least she has a pedestal to stand on.”

He shoots bullets into the eyes of Chanyeol before fiercely turning around.

“I told you,” Jennie merely says, gazing out the window when Taeyong enters the car.

He sighs while starting the engine. “At least I tried.”

“Don’t you ever think I might just be delusional, crazy and traumatized?” She questions, turning to him
slowly.

He meets her eyes and without any hesitation he gives her a definite answer. “No.”

Rosé almost feels satisfied. Almost. The date to their wedding is now set with invitations already
processing. She leaves the warmth of her trailer and starts for Taeyong’s with an excited smile. The
lights are on and she can hear laughter coming from inside. Her knock stops it momentarily before
Taeyong fetches the door. He’s surprised for a split second before his smile returns.

“Hey Rosé, what’s up?” He asks, stepping aside. “Come in, Lisa and I were just watching some Running
Man.”

She smiles, entering into his luxury trailer with two envelopes in her hands. She smiles at Lisa who waves
her over to take a seat next to her.

“I actually have some exciting news for you two,” Rosé exclaims, holding in a squeal.

Lisa turns to her. “Oh? Tell us!”

Taeyong returns to his spot, just as anxious. Grinning like a fool, she hands them each an fancy
envelope.

“You are officially invited to my wedding!”

Jennie wants to vomit.

Next to her, Jaehyun is naked between her sheet with an amused grin while she holds his invitation in
her hands. From one glance you can tell Rosé did everything. What’s worst is she planned for another
getaway, “to make memories before getting married” and she’s invited.

“Kill me already,” Jennie grunts, letting the card slip from her dainty fingers onto the expensive
comforter. “I know she doesn’t like me so why does she keep planning these annoying little things?
What are we, in high school still?”
Jaehyun scoffs and tosses the invitation off the bed before pulling her into a kiss. “Let’s not spoil the
mood. Plus think about it, it’ll be fun sneaking around Bali, doing our dirty little things behind their
backs.”

She scoffs at him before he buries his head between the crook of her neck. His warm hand leaves her
shoulder, dropping down to cup her breast, making her gasp. They only stay there momentarily before it
snakes down between her thighs. She moans against his ear, slightly spreading her legs to give his
speedy fingers more access.

It doesn’t take long before she’s arching her back, gasping for air with gibberish leaving her lips. She’s so
close and he knows it from her walls that has begun to clench around his fingers. In a swift movement,
he parts her legs and inserts himself into her. She releases a cry full of curses and he grins.

Nothing good ever lasts forever, sadly.

The doorbell rings.
