Please be advised that the 50” class Sharp model PN-UH501, which was introduced in the U.S.
market in February 2019, is no longer in production and its end-of-life was announced in July
2021.

Earlier this month, Sharp announced two new series of professional displays which included the
50-inch class PN-HY501. While not a direct replacement for the PN-UH501, as the PN-HY501
does not incorporate a NTSC/ATSC tuner - which is only used for receiving over-the-air TV
broadcast signals, it offers similar form and fit; and for the vast majority of replacement
installations, it provides similar, if not superior, functionality. As such, it is likely to serve as
reasonable substitute for the discontinued Sharp PN-UH501. For your reference, the following
page contains a specification comparison of these two models.

Should you like to test the PN-HY501 in the same environment that the PN-UH501 is being
used on, Sharp will be happy to provide a loaner unit to help facilitate that test.
