r @) ZIMBABWE SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level BUILDING TECHNOLOGY & DESIGN 4052/3 PAPER 3 Design Project NOVEMBER 2024 SESSION No additional materials required. 1.0 INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES 1.1 Attempt one situation only. 1.2 Produce a detailed Design Folio, following the development of the design process from the situation through to the work plans. The final part of the folio should include an evaluation of a scaled model of the chosen solution. 13 All initial developments and design work must be recorded in the Design Folio or Log. Book, together with the finalised scaled drawings including critical evaluation of the processes. The folio must be an A3 size presented in such a way that all work can easily be followed during assessment. 1.4 Scaled drawings may be done on A2 size paper that would be neatly folded to fit into the AB size folio. 1.5 The scaled model of the design should be constructed from suitable materials to enable it to be handled without breaking. 1.6 Usea window catalogue for window and door frame specifications. 2.0 INSTRUCTIONS TO TEACHERS 2.1 Teachers should refer to the section of the syllabus explaining the DESIGN COURSEWORK PROJECT and to the notes for guidance. 2.2 Projects must be completed by the end of Second Term of Form Four.
