No One Answers the Phone

Role-play as a pre-activity before making a real phone call.

If no one answers the phone or there is no voicemail:

• Wait for 10 rings.

• Are you making an appointment or wanting to talk to a friend?

• If it’s very important - call back in half an hour.

• If it’s less important – call back later (wait more than

an hour).
