    Functional dependency is a relationship between attributes where values of one attribute determine values of another. The left side of a functional dependency is the determinant that functionally determines the right side, or dependent. There are two types of functional dependencies: trivial, where the dependent is a subset of the determinant like A->B, and non-trivial, where the dependent is not a subset like A->C.

    The functional Depemdency is a relationship exist between two attributes.It


    typically exist between primary key and non-key attributes.

    Trival Functional Dependency:


    A B has Trival FD if B is subset of A.
