4. FIRST AID MEASURES

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal precautions
Use suitable personal protective equipment to prevent contamination of skin, eye, and personal
clothing.
When dealing with a spillage do not eat, drink or smoke.
Keep unauthorized people away, and provision of sufficient ventilation.

Environmental precautions
Do not allow spillage to get into drains, surface and ground water. Contamination of the
environment can give rise to indirect human chemical exposures within and outside of
workplaces.

Methods for cleaning up

Cover liquid spills with an inert absorbent such as lime, sawdust, clay or fuller’s earth. After the
liquid has been absorbed, carefully sweep it up into a disposal container. Dispose of all
contaminated materials safely as required by the local environmental control regulations.

Handling Avoidance of spills. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Eating, drinking,
and smoking in work areas are prohibited. After use and before eating,
drinking or smoking wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and
water. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before
entering eating areas. After use, wash gloves and clothing. Keep out of
reach of children.
Storage Store in the non-sparking well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Store
