CLASS PROJECT FOR TESOL METHODOLOGY

In this course, each of you should write a mini-research-based paper concerning


recent issues in TESOL. This project will mark your final grade. Below is the structure
of the paper.

1. Title Page:
• Title of the research paper.
• Author's name.
• Affiliation (university, department, etc.).
• Date.
2. Abstract:
• A brief summary of the research paper, including the research question,
methodology, key findings, and implications.
• Typically, the abstract should be around 150-250 words.
3. Introduction:
• Background information on the topic of study.
• Statement of the research problem or question.
• Purpose of the study and its significance in the field of TESOL methodology.
• Overview of the paper's organization.
4. Literature Review:
• Review of relevant literature related to the research question.
• Discussion of key concepts, theories, and methodologies in TESOL
methodology.
• Analysis of previous research studies and their findings.
• Identification of gaps or areas for further investigation.
5. Methodology:
• Description of the research design and methodology used in the study.
• Explanation of data collection methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, classroom
observations, etc.).
• Justification of the chosen methodology and its appropriateness for addressing
the research question.
• Discussion of any limitations or constraints in the research design.
6. Results:
• Presentation of the findings from the study.
