After completing Law No. 415 of 1954, in addition to practicing medical care.
Law No. 126 of 2008 amending some provisions of the Children’s Law promulgated by Law No. 12
of 1996, Penal Code No. 58 of 1937, and Law No. 143, 1994 ruling regarding civil status.
Presidential Decision No. 96 of 1978 to establish a fund to improve service, and Presidential Decision No.
242 of 1996 to organize the Ministry of Health and Population.
After agreement with the Minister of Justice.
Ministerial Resolution No. 338 of 2008 to conduct a medical examination for those wishing to marry, as
amended by Ministerial Resolution No. 475 of 2010.

It have been decided that :-

(Article 1)
The text of Article (3) (second paragraph) of Ministerial Resolution No. 338 of 2008 amended by
Ministerial Resolution No. 475 of 2010 to conduct a medical examination for those wishing to marry will
be replaced with the following text - “Article 3: The examining body shall issue a certificate of the result
of the examination and that certificate shall only be delivered to the person concerned.” Or an agent,
and an amount of 40 pounds (forty pounds) is collected for the cost of obtaining this certificate. It is paid
to the Service Improvement Fund in the facility that conducts the inspection, and this amount is
increased by 1% annually.”

Medical examination for those wishing to marry :-

Article 1 - Added to Appendix No. (3) Clause Six of the Basic Regulations
For hospitals and medical units affiliated with the aforementioned local administration units, tests
The following medical procedures are to be performed for those approaching marriage in the price
categories specified next to each:

Article 2 - The prices of medical tests listed in Appendix No. (3), Item Six, shall be amended
The basic regulations referred to are as follows:

Article 3 - This decision shall be published in the Egyptian Gazette, and shall be effective from the
following day.
