Entrepreneurship is the process of recognizing
opportunity, testing it in the market, and
gathering the resources necessary to go into
business.

Being the boss
This is the main reason most
people become
entrepreneurs. Unlike people
who run corporate
businesses, entrepreneurs
don't have to consult with
anyone before making
decisions.
Rewards
Doing what you
enjoy
A business venture usually
begins with an activity that
you enjoy. The owner gets
satisfaction of growing an
enterprise doing something
they love.
Building an enterprise
Many successful
entrepreneurs begin by
working in related
businesses. People starting
a business have to decide
between starting a new
business or buying an
already existing company.

Getting funds for
the business
Getting funds is the biggest
obstacle to start a business
and they usually have to
borrow money but that can
be hard because institutions
aren’t sure if the business
will succeed therefore
making it difficult for them
to give money to businesses.
Challenges
Being fully
responsible for
the company
They are responsible for
more than just making
decisions. They have to worry
about getting everything
done from getting the floors
sweeped to worrying about
paying bills and paying
employees.
Feeling alone within
the business
They work long hours,
especially at the beginning
with the weight of fear due to
failure. Most businesses fail
within the first 5 years due
to bad financial planning,
bad management, and poor
responses to change.
