Sub:- lmplementation Instructions on Social Security and Date Of


Retirement under NCWA-Xl -Reg.

In line with the implementation instructions received from JBCcl-Xl cited


under reference, the following are the guidelines with regard to Social Security and
Date Of Retirement under NCWA-Xl:

1.0 Social securitv

1.1 Life cover scheme:

> An amount Of Rs.1,56,250/-will be paid under Life Cover scheme w.e.f.


01.06.2023.

Note: ln SCCL, Group Insurance Scheme is in operation for its employees,


which covers the above provision.

1.2 Workmen's compensation Benefits:


> The employees covered under NCWA-Xl shall be entitlecl to the benefits
admissible under The Employee's Compensation Act,1923.

> The benefits under the Emptoyee's Compensation Act will not be affected
adversely on account Of the revision Of wages by this agreement.

> An employee who is disabled due to accident arising out Of and during the
course Of employment, will get full basic wages and dearness allowance from
the date Of accident till he/she is declared fit by the Company's Medical
Offioer. The disabled employee will have to remain under the treatment Of the
Coal Company's Medical Officer or in a hospital approved/referred by the coal
company to be entitled to the benefit.

> The compensation shall be paid on the basis of the last wages drawn
immediately before the employee met with the accident.

> The payment Of wages made to employees during the period Of temporary
disablement due to accident arising out Of and in course Of employment will
not be deducted from the lump sum amount payable towards compensation
for any permanent, partial or total disablement resulting therefrom.

1.3 Exgratia
> ln addition to the compensation payable under The Employee's
Compensation Act,1923, an exgratia amount Of Rs.90,000/-in case Of death

or permanent total disablement, resulting on account Of accident arising out of
and in the course Of employment will be paid. It will be effective from
01.06.2023.

The other terms and conditions adopted presently for payment Of exgratia
amount as per circular Nos. CRproEFVIR/S/540/898, dt.08.08.2020 and
CRpmERnR/S/540/1947, dt.06.10.2008 shall remain unaltered.

1.3 Coal Mines pension scheme,1998 (CMPS-1998):


To sustain the corpus Of CMPS 1998, the JBCcl agreed that both the
employee as well as employer shall contribute equally i.e. 7% Of revised
Basic & VDA will continue as cer the auidelines issued vide circular
No.CRpmERfl R/\/Vre42mension/1054. dt.26.07.2018.

1.4 Contributory PostRetiroment Medicare Scheme for Non-Executives

It shall be governed as per the existing guidelines Of CPRMS-NEOwodified) till
further communication from JBCCI-XI.

1.5 Gratuity:
The maximum ceiling Of gratufty \^rouid be Rs.20 Lakh as per the notification
dated 29.03.2018 Of Govt. Of India. The amount shall be enhanced as per the
notification received from the Government in this regard. The guidelines
issued vide circular No.CRPPERnR/V\//642/919, dt.12.07.2018 will continue.

2.a Date of Retirement


lf the date Of birth Of an employee falls on lst day Of the month, then the
retiring employee will superannuate on the last day Of the previous month. In
all other cases employee will retire on last day Of the month.

You are requested to take necessary action to implement the above


provisions.
