WORK PROCEDURE

1) Workpiece made of mild steel is provided.


2) The workpiece is placed and aligned onto milling machine by work holding method.
3) The cutting milling tool is selected, set up and aligned.
4) The milling machine is switched on and run the process according to the given measurement.
The workpiece must accurate based on the drawing in Figure 1.

5) The marking process done by using vernier caliper.
6) Set up and change the cutting milling tool based on the type of milling operation. Use end
mills to mill a flat surface.
7) The product and parts are produce according to the given specification by using a correct
cutting technique.
8) The final product dimension is performed and inspected base on drawing.
9) Turn of the milling machine and clean up the machine and workplace.
10) End of milling process.
APPARATUS
1. Conventional milling machine
- To transform the work piece into the product that we desired by using the appropriate
parts of the machine with the correct procedure or process.

2. Rectangular steel
- The work piece.

3. Vernier caliper
- To get an accurate measurement and reading.

4. Rubber mallet
- To knock the work piece slightly to ensure the tightness and parallel positioning

5. Spacer
- To support the work piece from the bottom so that it is parallel and tight position.

6. Wire brush
- To clean away ashes, dust, chips or excess materials from the table.

7. Goggle
- To protect eyes from ashes, dust or chips produced during the process.
