Once upon a time, in a small village, there were two best friends

named Submit and Sarah. They both loved playing with dolls and
often met on a stone wall between their houses to play and talk.

One day, as winter was approaching, they started a friendly

competition about whose family had the biggest turkey for
Thanksgiving. Submit had a beautiful wooden work-box, while Sarah
had a lovely doll named Thankful, made by her Aunt Rose. They both
decided to bet: if Sarah’s turkey was bigger, she would get Submit's
work-box, but if Submit's turkey was heavier, she would get Sarah's
doll.

On the day of the turkey weighing, Submit felt scared that her turkey
might not be the biggest. So, she sneaked into the pantry and filled her
turkey with heavy Revolutionary bullets to make it weigh more.
When her brother Jonas weighed the turkey, he was amazed to find it
was the heaviest in the village!

But Submit felt guilty about cheating. She confessed to her family,
and her mother sent her to her room as a punishment. Meanwhile,
Sarah, thinking she lost the bet, brought Thankful over to Submit in
tears.

However, both families understood the girls didn't mean any harm and
decided not to be too harsh. Submit's grandmother told her she could
come downstairs for dinner, and Sarah's Aunt Rose promised to make
a doll just like Thankful for Submit.

In the end, both girls learned an important lesson about honesty and
friendship. They enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with their
families, feeling grateful for the love and kindness around them. And
they never forgot the Thanksgiving they almost lost their precious
treasures over a turkey competition!
