ASTRA H/ZAFIRA B CIM PROGRAMMING

Before the new CIM is fitted, first note the following:


Security Code
V.I.N.
Mechanical key number
Variant coding

High Speed CAN configuration

Low Speed CAN Configuration

Run a full DTC scan and save the results


Make sure that the V.I.N. in the other control devices is consistent with the car
Reset the old CIM

Disconnect battery and wait 15mins for the air bags to discharge

Install the new CIM

Configure and program in the CAN-High, Mid and Low configurations

Program V.I.N. and mechanical key number in the new CIM

Program Immobiliser function, (choose CIM installed)

You should then get a success message

Program the available transponder keys to the new CIM

Reset the following devices:
IPC
UEC
REC

Example = REC

Switch the ignition off and wait at least 15 seconds

Program the security code in the following devices:

IPC
UEC
REC Example =REC

Configure the variant coding of the new CIM

The final step is to calibrate the steering angle sensor

Calibration

Connect the interface to the car and put ignition on.

Security code>(enter 4 digit passcode)
Calibrate Steering angle sensor>
Set the steering angle sensor offset to 0 by moving
the steering wheel slightly.
Once your happy press ACTIVATE and wait until the
procedure is complete.
“Steering angle sensor calibrated” should change from NO to YES.
Once complete – Clear all codes in ALL modules
