PRE-REQUISITES: NRSG 220
UNIT PURPOSE
This course is a continuation of NRSG 213 Pharmacology I. The learner is expected to learn
more about drugs affecting different parts of body systems. As in the previous pharmacology
course the learner should apply the knowledge of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of
the drugs discussed.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOME


Upon completion of this course the learner will be able to:
1. Continue to apply the knowledge of drug administration.
2. Discuss the use of different antimicrobials used to treat different infections.
3. Describe the effect of different drugs that affect the central nervous system.
4. Describe the drugs used to treat different conditions of the respiratory tract.
5. Discuss the drugs used for the GIT system.
6. Discuss the use of hormonal medications on different body systems.
7. Describe the use of other cardiovascular drugs.
