2. Synopsis: This course discusses the nature and essential theories of educational leadership. It emphasizes on the leadership
styles and leaders, emotional intelligence, leadership competencies and Islamic leadership at the school level. Various
functions processes of an educational leader in decision-making, motivation, communication, organizational change,
managing anger and stress will also be emphasized. Students are required to describes each of the leadership style
and their characteristic, functions of an emotional response, understanding one s emotional strengths and weaknesses
along with profile of leaders from all walks of life related to power influence and essential leadership qualities of
principals. The new paradigm for educational leadership will also be discussed.

of leadership.
CLO2(C3, A2) -Present various leadership style and leaders as well as discuss the features of Islamic leadership
through its definition, characteristics and moral bases using Islamic leaders as the role models.

CLO3(C5, A4) -Explain issues on emotional intelligence has become an integral part of how leaders of the day function
and response to challenges in their schools.

CLO4(C6, P5) -Construct action plan that related to leadership philosophy, principle, and change.
