Human rights violations are actions taken by people that go against the basic freedoms and rights
that are granted to all people under international law. These offenses can be committed in a variety of
ways and situations.

Discrimination means treating people unfairly and differently. Discrimination is a type of human rights
violation. Often discrimination is based on ignorance.

3.3. Right to Equality- This right explains that you can never be discriminated against unfairly. All people
are equal and must be treated equally.

Responsibility- Treat others fairly

Right to Life-Nobody may kill you. You have the right to live your life to the full.

Responsibility-Do not carry dangerous weapons.

3.4. Xenophobia is the term meaning a fear or hate of outsiders or foreigners, typically directed against
individuals from other cultures or nationalities. It is a sort of discrimination including hatred toward
immigrants, toward those who speak a foreign language and those who follow different religious or
cultural traditions.

Social exclusion is one effect of xenophobia on society. When people fear people from other cultures,
they may treat them unfairly, which can result in social exclusion. It can also cause violence and kill
many people.

impacts of discrimination against women can assist to develop a culture of respect and equal
opportunity for everyone.

Media Representation: Supporting representations of women in the media and other online platforms
can help in removing stereotypes and promoting gender equality.

3.7. Report the violations: As soon as I have found the human rights violations, I can report them to the
schools staff like the teacher, principal or my parents. They can assist me in addressing the problem and
taking the proper action.

Raising awareness- I can stick posters around the school related to the human right violations happening
in school. I can maybe go around the school and spread the message.
