The Joint Range Extension Tactical Data Link technology

now onboard the K1000ULE has served as the backbone for

every major U.S. operation, including Operation Enduring
Freedom (OEF) and Operation Noble Eagle (ONE)

K1000ULE – Next Generation Battlefield Airborne Communications Node

The complete picture to the warfighter, 24/7 – the K1000ULE provides an airborne communications capability that interconnects disparate
and incompatible radio networks into a common ”network-of-networks” with zero changes to existing infrastructure while bridging,
translating and distributing imagery, voice and tactical data from disparate elements — enhancing situational awareness and enabling
seamless interoperability for joint and coalition forces operating across air, space, land and sea.

Overview
Battlefield proven TRL9 Tactical Data Links (TDL) over Joint Range
Extension (JRE) technology onboard the K1000ULE.

Providing persistent ‘satellite-like’ capabilities to enable real-time

information flow across the entire battlespace between dissimilar
tactical data links, voice systems, computer networks and radio
technologies through communications relay, radio bridging and
tactical data translation in line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight
situations.

Background
In worldwide theater operations, terrain inhibits line-of-sight
communications, diverse weapon systems are incompatible and
unable to communicate with each other and warfighters can only
see a limited picture of the battlespace.

The K1000 bridges the gap between disparate systems, platforms

and sensors, enabling heightened situational awareness ranging
from small ground units in contact with enemy forces to the highest
command levels to deliver the right information to the right user at
the right time.

Capability
The K1000ULE provides TDL translation to seamlessly exchange data
over both Line-of-Sight and Beyond-Line-of-Sight communications for
the following TDL networks and message types:

ü Link 11 (MIL-STD 6011)

ü Link 16 (MIL-STD 6016)
ü VMF (MIL-STD 6017)
ü JREAP (MIL-STD 3011; Variable Message Format)
ü CoT (ATAK/WinTAK)
ü BFT (Blue Force Tracking)
ü CPCE (Command Post Computing Environment)

Implemented to current MIL-STDs while maintaining legacy protocols

enabling Interoperability across the entire JADC2 battlespace.

ü Fully fielded, JITC certified, operationally validated, TRL9

ü High track capacity throughput with data loop protection
ü Data filtering, track prioritization & metering on a link-by-link basis

Bridging Disparate Radio Networks

Interconnect disparate and incompatible radio networks into a
common ”network-of-networks” with zero changes to existing
infrastructure.

K1000ULE Overview

Persistent / Ultra Long Endurance Fully Electric

UAS that can operate up to 24 hours airborne
and at extreme ranges from operators. The
K1000ULE is operational within environments
that are fully A2/AD contested and/or GPS
denied. The system is fully Autonomous and
platform capable of carrying 5.5lbs payloads
with up to ~50W constant power supply with a
1kW burst capability. The aircraft is tested to
sustain operations up to 20,000ftMSL with
enough power to perform operations at higher
altitudes, if required. An onboard Digital Terrain
Model (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission)
supports safe low altitude terrain following
missions. With minimal logistics, a three man-
operational team wearing vest-mounted
tablet computers can operate multiple aircraft.
Proudly made in the USA.
