The Tamil Nadu Medical Council had issued a notification for the conduct of
election. The Hon’ble High Court of Madras in a batch of writ petitions through a
common order dated 06.12.2022, directed to revamp the enactment and Rules in three
months and to conduct the election thereafter.

2. To update the electoral roll, the personal details of Registered Medical


Practitioners are required, including their email address and phone number. However,
as of now, 50,174 Registered Medical Practitioners have not updated their details.
Therefore, the Adhoc Committee constituted by the Government to administer Tamil
Nadu Medical Council directs that all those Registered Medical Practitioners who have
not updated their personal details, to do so immediately, creating an account in the
Tamil Nadu Medical Council portal, within 14 days from the date of issue of this circular
in https://www.tamilnadumedicalcouncil.org/exrmp/setup. It is important to note that
Tamil Nadu Medical Council will not be able to reach out to those members who have
not updated their personal details & obtained digital certificates. As a one-time
measure, this service can be availed by paying Rs. 500/- without penalty.

3. Demise of a Registered Medical Practitioner can be updated either by the legal


heirs or relatives of the deceased RMPs with a copy of death certificate in
