Assembly and finishing

Placing the Eyes and Muzzle and Sewing the Ears

The first thing we must do is glue the puppy's eyes and muzzle.
I use a knitting needle to open the place where I'm going to put the eyes, apply some
glue and insert it into the opening, then hold it tight for about 5 minutes to give it
time to glue.
Try to put your eyes on between rows 8 and 9 leaving 7 stitches between them.
To place the nose, do the same process, with the knitting needle or a wooden toothpick,
open a little hole at the tip of the snout and after passing glue, introduce the nose in
the place and hold for about 5 minutes until the glue fixes the piece.

7
Now that you've glued the eyes and muzzle, sew the ears, the head to the body and
then the paws of your puppy. (See Photos below)

Tip: After sewing the legs to the body,

attach/sew the four pieces as shown in
the photos above.

8
How to make your puppy's tail (Optional)

You must cut 6 strands of black wool, each strand should be 8 cm. Tie in half with
another piece of the same yarn.

Fold in half (See Photo) and unravel a lot, then pass the hot flat iron to smooth it
and with the wool that tied the threads, sew the tail on your puppy. If you think it's
too long, trim the ends with scissors.

9
How to coat your puppy?

To make the coat you will need a pet clipper or a brush with very firm bristles,
scissors, crochet hook, knitting needles or wooden sticks and felting needle (thick) for
finishing the muzzle and eyes.

Cut the threads approximately 10 cm long each and then tie the threads to the needle
or toothpick as shown in the photo below.

10
Pass the slicker on the wires until it is well shredded, if you want even more smooth
and shiny, after unraveling, pass a hair straightener or iron at acrylic temperature
and brush until you get the desired result.
Note As you unravel the threads, take off the wool that is in the slicker and keep it,
you can use it as a filler and also to finish the nose and eyes of your puppies.

Okay, now and just start putting the locks on your puppy.
You must take strand by strand and with the help of a crochet hook, place it only on
your puppy's head, as shown in the next photos.

11
After placing the locks, pass the clipper on the hair to finish, tie to make a “xuxinha”
and with the help of the felting needle, finish the finish of the face with the wool that
was left after unraveling the coat.
You can also use the felting needle to hide the little knots that appear on your pet's
face or to fill in any gaps in the coat.
Now just glue or sew a bow on top of the thread that tied the “xuxinha” and your
Mini York Shire is ready.

Tip. : If you are making this puppy to be used as a keychain, use silicone glue or hot
glue to fix the hairs on the head, that way he won't get the hairs tangled or disheveled
with use. Just apply a little glue on the underside of the hairs and they will be glued
directly to the crochet part.

Now I hope to see how your puppy turned out, so don't forget to send me the photo or
tag me on Instagram when you post photos of your work.

Thank you very much !!!
