Hearty greetings to OCS Services (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd. from Indian Maritime University - Mumbai Port Campus.

1. Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a Central University under the Ministry of Shipping. It came into
being through an Act of Parliament on 14th Nov' 08. Mumbai Port Campus (MPC) is one of the six campuses of
IMU. It consists of the two premier institutions, namely MERI & LBS CAMSAR.

2. Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI) is a 70-year-old Institution which was earlier known
DMET, established in 1949. It conducts a One-Year Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering (PGDME)
Course, also known as Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) Course.

2.1 Training at MERI is fully residential with a lot of stress on discipline and hands-on practical training
which includes Mazagon Dock, Ship Visits, Indian Naval Dockyard and Engine Room Simulation courses as well as
attending onboard machinery’s in marine workshop making us stand at par with the dynamic industry requirements.

2.2 Regimental residential training includes cross country run, endurance based swimming and cross fit
training. The Cadets have great industrial on-field experience as most of them had worked in Industries after their
B.Tech/B.E (Mechanical Engineering) Course.

2.3 We, with our conviction to deliver the best even in the harshest conditions, have kept our cadets up to
date even in the pandemic with prevailing lockdown conditions. They have been attending online classes and
completing syllabus in allocated timings. They have also been called back to campus for practical and hands-on
training to help them further their skillset and hone their command over the various disciplines of Marine
Engineering.

2.4 They have had exposure to Guest Lecture from various industry stalwarts from the Industry and their
training includes visiting Merchant Vessels & War Ships.

2.5 We've been the leader among all the maritime colleges in the last 2 years and completing our course and
hands on training before any other institution despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.

3. Our PGDME Cadets are eligible to go onboard Ships as 'Trainee Marine Engineers' during their 2nd
Semester. The Cadets are now ready to take up Campus Interviews and Sponsorship Examinations.
