“Life with music”

With a variety of genres, including classical music, punk rock, and hip-hop, music is
defined as "the art of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of
form, harmony, and expression of emotion" in Concise Oxford Dictionary. According to several
studies, it exerts a powerful influence on people. It can improve memory, lighten mood, reduce
anxiety and depression, prevent fatigue, and improve response to pain.
Music has played an important role in every human culture, past and present.
Furthermore, advances in neuroscience allow researchers to measure how it affects the brain.
Research has shown that listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well
as improve sleep quality, and mental alertness; however, listening to music can also affect
illness, depression, spending, productivity, and our perception of the world. In addition, music
affects one’s emotions. For instance, when someone listens to sad music, they tend to worsen
one's mood, but when someone listens to happy music, they feel cheerful and alive.
To sum it up, humans are influenced by music in powerful ways. It represents an
enjoyable activity in and of itself, but its influence goes beyond simple amusement. Overall,
music's contribution to health and well-being provides evidence of physical and psychological
impacts.
