2. Introduce basic gender concepts and definitions.

and distribute materials. One group will draw a picture of an
ideal woman and the other, an ideal man (using both words
and drawings to convey their ideas).
Each group will present their drawing to the larger group. The
groups will then entertain observations and questions from the
audience.
Facilitator asks the larger group, “Based on the ideal man and
ideal women characteristics identified in the previous
exercise?”
 Which are biological/ unchangeable/natural
characteristics?
 Which characteristics are socially constructed &
changeable?
 How the characteristics are has its place in men & women

 Each group will play role on three themes as per reality of
project area-
1. Food discrimination
2. Family workload.
3. Mobility & participation in community.
