Our kitchen is open 24-hours to tend to your every need.
Meals can be enjoyed at your leisure in the location of
your choice - in your suite, at the Dining Bale, in the Main
Pavilion, or poolside. We also offer a variety of special
options in the dining section of this guide for personal
barbecues or beach breakfasts.

the stars for you to enjoy a film of your choice under the

A car and driver is available to you throughout your stay
should you wish to venture out and discover more of Bali.
Please inform your butler should you wish to book a car,
and he or she will be happy to make the arrangements.

(Champagne optional) and just you and your loved ones,

over the white sand of Nusa Dua Beach.
Wear your swimsuits if you feel keen to awaken your body
with a morning dip or enjoy the experience from the
comfort of our beach loungers. Guests are welcome to
stay through the morning or make their way back for

Aman Villas Private Temple Blessing
The Private Temple Blessing at Aman Villas’ family temple
is a unique experience and insight into the spirituality of
Bali’s people. An opportunity to get involved with the
island’s magic, its people and their remarkable culture, this
private blessing takes place on property and offers guests
peace of mind and serenity.
Led by a local Hindu priest, guests will be walked through
a series of traditional prayers and blessed with ‘tirta’ (holy
water) and ‘bija’ (consecrated rice).
Sacred Temple Tour
Religious devotions are as much a part of daily life in Bali
as breathing, eating and sleeping. To experience the true
essence of Bali you really should not miss out on visiting at
least one or two temples.
Aman Villas has developed this fascinating tour of four
temples in our area, which traces the steps of the
Javanese high priest, Dang Hyang Nirartha, who came to
Bali in 1537 in search of a sacred site where he could
achieve enlightenment, known as Moksa in Hinduism.
This expedition brought Nirartha to our Bukit region of
Southern Bali. The four temples visited include Pura Goa
Gong, Pura Geger, Pura Gunung Payung and Bali’s most
famous temple, Pura Luhur Uluwatu; each temple has its
own fascinating background of history and legends.

Balinese Cooking Class
Discover the authentic Indonesian culinary experience
with a cooking class and local market tour.
This experience takes you into the midst of the traditional
markets, where you can hand-pick fresh ingredients with
one of our talented local sous chefs. After that, it is off to
work, crafting succulent dishes with the assistance of the
Aman Villas team. The recipes learnt here remain
untouched by time and modern additives. Our chefs have
learned their skills from their mothers and grandmothers,
with their traditional family recipes passed down through
generations.
Once your meal is complete, you will be able to enjoy your
culinary delights by the pool or in your dining bale.
Pasifika Art Museum
This museum features an outstanding art collection of
over 200 local and international artists who have been
inspired by the natural beauty and culture of the Pacific

Culinary Indulgences
Fresh seafood from the surrounding waters comprise the

kitchen. Dining spots range from a dedicated dining
pavilion, a dining space at the main pavilion, or at the
privacy of your own room. Private breakfasts and special
dinner can be enjoyed at the Beach Club.
Megibung Feast
Indulge in the Megibung Feast, with a menu inspired by
the late King of Karangasem - I Gusti Agung Ketut
Karangasem - in 1692. Megibung means ‘to share from
one platter’ and this type of dining is commonly used for
festive and ceremonial occasions.
Our Megibung starts with a Balinese soup, followed by a
platter of Balinese dishes that surround a nasi tumpeng,
which is a cone of rice representing Mt. Agung, where the
Hindu mother temple of Besakih is located. The Balinese
dishes include a 2-hour slow-roasted Balinese chicken in
palm bark, local fish wrapped and cooked in banana leaf,
tuna, fish satay and other authentic Balinese salads
celebrating the quality and abundance of fresh ingredients
that the island provides. The Megibung Feast is followed
by a selection of local Balinese sweets.
Dining Out
Bali offers nearly every type of cuisine you could wish for,
from delicious home-style cooked local food to a French
gastronomic feast. Please ask your Butler for a more
extensive choice of warungs, restaurants, clubs and bars;
we will be happy to make the necessary reservations and
organize your transport.
Candlelit Poolside Dinner
A more romantic or celebratory option, enjoy an intimate
dinner under the stars beside your Villa pool. The warm
candlelit setting creates an ideal atmosphere to celebrate
a birthday or special occasion.
Movie Night
Available on request, transform the outdoor area of your
villa into a private cinema surrounding the pool and spend
a memorable evening seated under the stars with an
exclusive Villa Movie Night. Gather together with loved
ones, choosing from a collection of family favourites,
classics and blockbuster movies accompanied by drinks
and snacks from the in-room villa a la carte menu. In case
of bad weather, the welcoming Main Pavilion provides a
cozy indoor alternative.
Seafood Market Barbecue
A tailor-made menu and live cooking showcase the fresh
and locally sourced ingredients of this dining experience.
Choose items such as live lobster from Sumbawa, grouper
from Mancar, live mud crab from Sumatra, prawns from
Pasuruan, tuna from Singaraja, barramundi from Papua
and snapper from Karangasem to be prepared to your
liking and cooked over traditional coconut husk barbeque.
Golf
The golf course in Bali are as diverse as the island itself
and all courses are within a relative easy distance of Aman
Villas. Aman Villas provides complimentary use of the
latest range of Wilson Staff graphite shaft golf clubs so
that you can enjoy your game to the maximum.
Bali National Golf Club
After a superb re-design by Nelson & Haworth golf course
architects, the stunning Bali National Golf Club is located
directly adjacent to Aman Villas. This championship
course offers a truly unique golfing experience, which is
both challenging and enjoyable to players of all levels.
The par 72 tournament-standard golf course measures
7,166 yards from the back tees and starts off on the
outward nine playing up through verdant green, rolling
hills and tropical fauna. The fourth hole, a deceptive uphill
158-yard par-3, ends on the green with rewarding views of
Bali’s holy mountain, Gunung Agung. Hole 8, a par-4,
requires an accurate tee shot through a wooded
ravine. Water features heavily on the way to the 9th green
with a babbling brook running the length of the fairway
and a picturesque lake to the right of the green, home to a
wonderful variety of birds. The inward nine plays on level
land through coconut trees and a series of man-made
lakes. Hole 17, a signature holes, is Bali’s answer to the
famous TPCC Sawgrass #17, in Florida.
New Kuta Golf
On the southwestern rim of the Bukit Peninsula, perched
above a limestone cliff overlooking Dreamland and
Balangan beaches, this scenic 18-hole course is located a
30 minutes’ drive from Aman Villas.
New Kuta Golf is a championship standard course and the
first links style layout in Indonesia. It will challenge both
the low handicapper and reward the novice. With five sets
of tees, there is enough variety to ensure a satisfying
experience for all skill levels.
Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club
Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club is the first golf course
of its kind in Bali, if not in all of Southeast Asia, with 18
championship-calibre par-3 holes. While the par-54
layout is a time-saver, with a typical round lasting just 120
minutes, it is not short on its own challenges.
Set across a limestone cliff top as it meanders through
dramatic rock outcroppings and terraced rice paddy field,
the course in itself is an artistic statement, with the
spectacular white sandy beach and the Indian Ocean as its
backdrop.
Surfing
Bali is renowned for its spectacular surf breaks and its
virtual year-round season of accessible waves. Aman
Villas is delighted to introduce surfing experiences for our
guests, in association with East Bali Surf and Sail.

This truly authentic and uniquely Balinese experience is for

all levels of surfers, from beginners to advanced, with
accomplished Balinese surf guides from East Bali Surf and
Sail who will accompany you on your surfing adventure.
Sanur Surfing
For beginners, the Sanur Reef headquarters of the East Bali
Surf & Sail (EBSS) is the ideal spot to learn from scratch or
warm up your skills if you are a little rusty.
For the intermediate and more advanced surfers, the surf
guides, who are pioneers of the East Bali breaks, will tailor-
make an unforgettable experience and take you to the
most hidden and un-crowded surf breaks in East Bali.
Hyatt Reef
A few kilometres south of Sanur Reef is the Hyatt Reef,
home base of EBSS. Here, we take beginners out on the
boat to the baby reef and get them standing on their
boards generally in knee- to waist-high white water.
For the intermediate to advanced surfer, we go across the
reef to where the bigger waves are suitable for fit
intermediate and advanced surfers only.

Sanur Baby
300 metres north of the Bali Beach Hotel, in front of
Matahari Terbit Beach, is a gentle beach break we call
‘Sanur Baby,’ which is suitable for beginners.

Sanur Reef
This famous right-hander is one of the best waves in Bali
when it breaks overhead. Recommended for intermediate
and advanced only, as it breaks over sharp coral.
Used by locals, this is a territorial break and guests are
required to be accompanied by our local guides in order to
have a memorable session.

South Bali Surfing
Bingin
Bingin’s hollow, fast barrel is addictive for experienced
surfers who know how to handle it. However, expect
competition from every visitor and local for all the barrels
they can score for the day. You should also watch out for
the ‘stop sign,’ the raised coral that has prematurely ended
many a great surfing vacation for visiting surfers.
Take Bingin for what it is, a short left-hand wave that can
cost you if you try to get more out of it than you deserve!
Padang-Padang
The ‘Bali Pipeline’s’ surprising ferocity keeps professional
surfers on their toes with huge swells and gigantic barrels
that are about as fun to watch as they are to surf.
The downside: a wipeout here is more painful than most,
as the sharp reef bottom and powerful swells create
board-breaking, flesh-shredding situations that no one
should attempt at low tide. Avoid if you’re a beginner, take
precautions if you’re an expert.

Uluwatu
Uluwatu has been attracting surfers since the seventies.
Uluwatu's five breaks offer surfers consistent swells with
multiple chances to show off their skills. Not surprisingly,
the place has grown quite crowded over the years.
Balangan
Balangan at high tide is great for beginners, who can easily
ride this reef break’s long left-hand waves. On really good
days, the big waves provide an irresistible challenge to
expert surfers.

Uluwatu provides the most exhilarating challenge during
monsoon season, when the biggest swells hit the island.
The temptation of taking on those 15-foot waves should
be tempered by knowledge of the dangerous conditions –
don’t leave shore without a big board and a sturdy leash.
The vibe at Balangan is friendly and low-key, with less
competition due to the smaller crowds compared to Kuta
and Uluwatu.

Nusa Dua
Newbies be warned: Nusa Dua’s shallow, sharp reef
bottom and powerful, huge right-hand waves should be
left to the experts. Nusa Dua is always ready with a wave
on hand, including some of the biggest and baddest ones
in town – at about 15 feet on a good day.

Nusa Dua is Bali’s best rainy season surfing destination,

peaking between October and April, with good access at
any time of the year.

Our wonderful Spa Therapists specialise in massages,
body treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures. Their
extensive experience and quiet disposition means that an
hour or two with them will leave you completely relaxed
and invigorated. Treatments can be enjoyed in your
private suite, poolside or at the library.
Massage
The massage at Aman Villas at Nusa Dua is focusing on
relaxation and stimulating circulation, has its roots in
traditional balinese therapies. Deep thumb pressure,
known locally as “urut,” combines with acupressure and
palm pressure methods to activate and soothe the body
from head to toe.
Private Yoga
Book a private session with our excellent Balinese yoga
teacher, who teaches all levels of Hatha Yoga to suit your
requirements. Alternatively our local community yoga
teacher, a specialist in Astangha Yoga is available to teach
all styles and levels of yoga. Both our teachers are also
knowledgeable about the Balinese Hindu Religion should
you wish to discuss this further with them.
Arts & Crafts
It seems as if many of our guests are great patrons of the
Arts, budding artists, or irrepressible collectors of antiques
– in Aman Villas at Nusa Dua and Bali, they may well have
found their Nirvana..
Jewellery Making
Learn to customise your own jewellery, inspired by the
beauty of Bali island. During this special masterclass,
expert local artisan will be present throughout the
process, from sketching and design, to carving and
finishing.
Painting
If you have done many painting classes in your time and
are now looking for a challenge, this painting class will put
you to the test. With the intricacy of the diverse Balinese
painting style and the playful characters of your teacher, I
Wayan Donal, you will easily spend a whole day exploring
your creativity in the comfort of your villa. Many guests
find it therapeutic, if not meditative. Apart from taking
home a new set of traditional Balinese art techniques and
skills, you will learn a new form of relaxation too. Your
session is accompanied by homemade light bites and a
beverage, as well as the brisk Nusa Dua air.
Textile Drapery
Discover the cultural heritage of Bali from the perspective
of fashion, and learn how to dress-up with Balinese
traditional weaving fabrics without tailoring process. The
class will conclude with a photo session, documenting
your learning and to turn this special moment into
memories.
Silk Painting
Silk painting is a centuries-old technique with practices
that have been passed down and perfected throughout
many generations of artists. As with any other artistic
method, learning how to hand paint silk fabric requires
practice. With guidance from our painter friend from
Ubud, you will be comfortable with the technique and to
find your ‘style’.
Jenggala Gallery, Jimbaran
Jenggala Keramik began in 1976 as a small experimental
cottage industry in Sanur, as a collaboration between the
late New Zealand designer-potter Brent Hesselyn, the late
Indonesian hotelier Wija Waworuntu and his daughter
Ade. Today, Jenggala Gallery is an exhibition area
promoting Indonesian & international artists.

Museum of Bali, Denpasar
Built by architect P.J. Moojen in 1931, the building that
houses the museum combines palace architecture with
the style of Balinese temples, after the original building
was destroyed in an earthquake in 1917. The museum was
founded by Yayasan Bali Museum in 1932 and displays
items dating back to prehistoric times; weavings,
woodcarvings and paintings are also on display.

Antonio Blanco Renaissance Museum, Ubud
Blanco Renaissance Museum is a notable landmark in the
artisan village of Ubud. The palatial residence and gallery
is perched on a hill overlooking the Campuhan River and is
typical of the taste and style of the late Spanish master
artist, Don Antonio Blanco.
Antonio Blanco was a Bali art maestro whose love and lust
for life was blended into his artwork. This well-preserved
collection of paintings attracts art lovers from around the
world. It was Antonio Blanco's lifelong vision to turn his
studios into a museum, but he passed away prior to its
inauguration. His son, Mario, has followed in his footsteps
as a talented painter. The Blanco Renaissance Museum
houses both Antonio’s and Mario's artworks in an
impressive open-house style studio setting.

Agung Rai Museum of Art, Ubud
In the style of a ‘living museum,’ Agung Rai Museum of
Art (ARMA) displays paintings and provides a
presentation stage for performing arts in the style of
‘karawitan,’ the music and singing associated with
gamelan from Bali and Java; a library; gallery; hotel;
restaurant and coffee shop. Situated in the rice fields and
terraces, the museum has spectacular views over Ubud.

Neka Art Museum, Ubud
Exhibiting fine arts that range from the Kamasan period of
the 16th century through to contemporary paintings of the
modern era. The collection is displayed chronologically
and clearly demonstrates the historical development of
Balinese fine arts. This museum is famous among painters,
anthropologists and researchers of world creative arts.

Rudana Fine Arts Gallery, Ubud
The Rudana Museum was established in 1995, with the
aim of re-generating the general public’s appreciation of
art by providing an outstanding collection of fine arts.
Featuring an excellent collection of fine arts from around
Indonesia, including artists such as I Gusti Nyoman
Lempad, Affandi, Supono and Antonio Blanco, this Gallery
provides a visual narrative of the social history of
Indonesia.

Beyond Nusa Dua
From cycle rides through the hillsides of the Nusa Dua
peninsula to exploring the rocky cliffs of Uluwatu, Aman
Villas at Nusa Dua provides guests with opportunities to
explore the regency beyond the resort and see the natural
environments of Bali through a different light. Outdoor
activities are recommended in the morning, as the
afternoons can get very warm.

panoramas of the sculptured rice terraces known as
‘terasering’ and the lush river valleys. The ride continues
towards Tanah lot to observe the legendary sea temple
from the air. End by flying over the Seminyak and Kuta
coastline culminating with a return to Nusa Dua.

Nusa Dua – Sanur – Lebih Beach (Gianyar) – Padangbai –
Mount Agung – Besakih – Nusa Dua
This 90-minute air tour takes guests over Bali’s east coast
with the two main sites of Mount Agung and Besakih
Temple. Head towards Mount Agung, flying over the
classic Sanur Beach, the fisherman’s village at Lebih Beach
and the bay of Padangbai. Reaching the mighty Mount
Agung, see Bali’s most revered volcano from the air before
heading to Besakih Temple for a birds’ eye view of the
largest and most sacred temple on the island. The return
flight travels over the lush forests, rice terraces and river
valleys of Gianyar, before touching down at Nusa Dua.

Aman Villas at Nusa Dua is ideal for families, with
activities to suit all ages. Babysitters are available for
younger children, and activities are offered for older
children. Many activities are tailored to include references
to Balinese culture, craftsmanship, and adventures.

White Water Rafting
An exhilarating rafting excursion and a memorable
glimpse into Bali river life can be experienced on various
rivers of all grades in Bali.
The excursion includes refreshments, snacks lunch,
transfers, insurance and takes a full day.
Swimming with the Pro
Practice with the Pro! Aman Villas provides child-friendly
swimming professionals for your kids to practice and
learn. Your children will be safe in their hands, and the
activity takes place right in your Villas. The kinds are sure
to have a fantastic time, whilst you can relax and enjoy
some adult downtime.
Horse Riding
You may experience Bali from a different perspective by
riding horseback. View rice terraces or watch the sunset
on the beach.
All tours are accompanied by expert horsemen. Beginner
riders can be led on the rides.
Waterbom Park
There’s no better place for fun and excitement than
Waterbom Park. Suitable for kids of all ages and adults,
the park features a Pleasure Pool, Kiddy Park, Lazy River,
Boogie Ride and Smash Down. Stay for a few hours or the
entire day!
The park is located approximately 30 minutes’ drive from
Aman Villas.
Making Balinese Offerings
Aman Villas staff will show the kids how to make a simple
Balinese flower offering, known as ‘canang sari,’ from local
flowers and young coconut leaves. These offerings are
used by Hindus during daily prayers in their house or their
own temple and are the most traditional offerings.
Ceramic Painting at Jenggala
2 hours
Paint your own fantasy on a ceramic cup, plate, bowl or
anything you find interesting at Jenggala’s ceramics
factory. There is no limit to your creativity.
After finishing the painting, the ceramics will be baked in
the oven and will be ready three days later.
This activity is available daily from 9am – 5pm. The studio
