User Interface
Raspberry PI (touchscreen) and via VNC Viewer on any internet-enabled device

In the lines at the bottom of the picture:

- the remaining PV yield from the day and the next day
- the daily procurement costs and feed-in yields as well as the average prices including grid
fees and taxes
- the current purchase and feed-in prices including grid fees and taxes, as well as the current
price level between the most expensive and cheapest tariff of the day.
The sliders indicate:
- the target and actual SOC of the vehicle connected to the wall box

Electricity cost profile window:

- The green bars show the electricity price for each hour without taxes and grid fees (net price)
- The light blue bars the electricity price with taxes and grid fees (gross price)
- The dark blue bars show the gross price devalued by the ratio (PV output/average power
requirement of the HP), this variable (HP price) is used to control the HP (increase/decrease
of the flow temperature in relation to the current HP price to the daily average of the WP
price;
o Electricity price data from aWatter API,
o PV performance forecast from API by www.solcast.com

EV – Window:

State of charge and range of our cars, as well as the option to operate the stationary air conditioning
(data from Volkswagen’s WeConnect Cloud via API)

Monthly evaluation of the energy data:

Battery installed September 9th, 2022, heat pump November 7th, 2022.

Daily evaluation:

User Interface for Heatpump:

- Integration of the WP measured values via ModBusTCP

- Control of the WP via ModBusTCP - use of the daily course of the electricity price or PV offer
(see above)
- Measurement of water temperatures of energy source inlet, outlet and well temperature to
0.06°C with SingleWire bus temperature sensors

© steinrueck.at, Dr. Peter Steinrück Technology and Strategy Advisor psteinrueck@steinrueck.at

- Measurement of room temperature and humidity via combined digital sensor with ModBus
RTU interface
- control of the speed of energy source - pump via 0-10V input for VSD,
- Speed specification via map from the required amount of water to achieve the optimal
temperature spread of the energy source (avoiding freezing vs. pump power consumption)
- Determination of HP performance via characteristic map from evaporation and condensation
temperature (heating capacity, cooling capacity, power consumption, performance number)

Monthly evaluation of Heat pump data:

- Separate recording of COP heating and COP hot water since Aug 22,
- Average ambient temperature recorded since Nov 22.
