Optis™ Coil
EV’s Optis Coil camera set the standard for
cameras deployed on coil in either memory
or real time mode for highly deviated and
horizontal wellbore completions. The
proprietary circulating shroud allows for
continuous circulation of clean fluid across the
lens to allow the operator to flush clear fluid
ahead ensuring a picture in most wellbores.

Pipeline Pig Camera

The Pipeline Pig Camera is a non-tethered
system that provides up to five hours of video
footage for the internal inspection of
pipelines. The camera is adaptable and has
various pig bodies to suit pipeline size and
application.
The camera can be mounted forward or
backward facing depending on the project. For
smaller diameters the system can be housed
in a dual or single module.
Common Uses :
• Internal pipeline corrosion assessment
• Pipeline coating inspection - identification of
internal coating defects (holidays)
• Pipeline drop out surveys (water, sand)
• Pipeline topography survey, using internal
gyroscope
• Pipeline blockages/collapses

Example Case Study:

A client wishes to review the internal coating on a gas
transmission line. During assembly there was concern that
the fitting of line pipe joints (that protect the coating during
welding ) caused coating damage.

By running the Pig Camera through the lines once

assembled, it is possible to identify any holidays in the
coating.

Optis™ RT120
The Optis™ RT120 real time camera is a continuous
rotate and tilt camera with an unrivalled track
record in wellbore operations. It provides full
hemispherical viewing via continuous 360° variable
speed rotate and tilt with on-screen display of the
camera position. Twin cameras provide low light
monochrome and high definition color images.
Infinitely variable LED lighting allows enhanced
imaging capability in low visibility fluids.

The Optis™ RT120 is typically deployed on drill pipe in order

to provide flushing capability but it can also be deployed
on a tugger line or umbilical.
The Optis™ RT120 drill pipe running tool allows the flushing of
a clear fluid in the zone of interest thus ensuring a quality picture
whatever the wellbore fluid. The running tool has an integral dome
protector which also acts as a delivery method for controlled flushing
operations. The protection frame offers maximum protection while
minimising the reduction in viewing area. Up to 1.7m3 (10 bls) per min)
of clear flushing fluid can be pumped through the running tool.
Connection from the camera to the surface control unit is via
an umbilical which is typically strapped to the outside of the pipe.
The surface master control unit provides the operator with full
control of the camera including 3-axis movement, auxiliary
camera switching and lighting control.
The Optis™ RT120 system including drill pipe running tool
can be mobilised by helicopter or any other means.

Neptus SL30M
An inspection system designed to provide
internal visual data for a range of assets
including horizontal chokes, wellhead annulus
and pipelines. Typically the cameras access
through valve offtakes such as choke valves
or annulus valves on the side of the wellheads
or flanged tees on pipelines or vessels.

The system is pressure rated to 21Mpa (3000 psi) to allow for access
whilst the systems are live. Current designs have been used for carrying
out inspections on Drill Quip and Vetco wellheads. Drill Quip
lubricator or Vetco valve retrieval tools are used on these wellheads
to manipulate the cameras into position.
Additionally the camera can be used to access pipelines or vessels
through any tee location that has a minimum through clearance
of 32 mm. In many of these circumstances weight loss coupon
or corrosion monitoring retrieval tools can be used to launch
and retrieve the camera.
An autonomous battery powered memory camera for deployment
into horizontal bores and capable of taking in excess of 600 still
images captured on an internal storage card. The camera can be
pre-programmed with up to 60 minutes of delay and stills are
then taken at a pre-determined interval.
Previous applications for this system have included:
• Inspect thread and hanger for corrosion damage
under well control conditions
• Condition of the valve seats and gates/balls
• Condition of threads for valve change out/retrieval plug seats
• Condition of annulus ports, particularly for cuttings reinjection Specifications

Neptus RD53
EV delivers services for the internal and external
visual inspection of risers, caissons and pipelines.
The information provided in these inspections
can be used to support Risk Based Inspection
(RBI) programmes and fitness for purpose
assessments. The camera based inspection tools
can provide full 360° and forward facing surveys
in a 53mm housing.
The down and side view tools can be supplied with internal lights that
are a combination of white and ultraviolet LEDs and this can give the
option of using Fluorescein dye penetrant to identify or confirm the
location of a crack or fracture.
EV’s existing inspection tools can be used on systems from 3" up to 15".
Deployment systems are available to extend the inspection from the
vertical into the horizontal section of risers and around bends. Larger
diameter risers or caissons can also be inspected but may require some
up front engineering. We can also offer specialized bespoke systems
for unique applications.
Inspection tools are rated up to 4500 psi and therefore can be
used in flooded or non-flooded environments. Using cameras with
positioning/indexing data it is possible to collect data annually to
allow condition monitoring or trending of defects due to erosion
or corrosion.
