Computer-Based Testing Guide

Computer-based testing involves test-takers responding to questions on a computer rather than a paper test. It is used for large-scale standardized exams and assessments in education and employment. Computer adaptive testing (CAT) presents test-takers with an initial medium difficulty question and uses their response to determine the next question's difficulty level, aiming to keep test-takers engaged at an appropriate level. CAT offers advantages like minimizing errors and saving time and costs compared to paper tests, but requires test-takers and systems to function properly to avoid issues. Conducting computer-based exams involves using software like Google Forms to design and administer the test online.

next.
As long as the test-takers respond correctly, the computer will select
questions of greater difficulty or equal difficulty.
However, if the respond is incorrect, computer will select questions of
lesser difficulty or equal difficulty.
CAT – Computer Adaptive Test
