    The President of Pakistan has approved an increase to mileage and travel allowance rates for government officials effective July 1, 2023. The rates for transportation by motor car and motorcycle have been increased from Rs. 5/- and Rs. 2.5/- per km to Rs. 7.5/- and Rs. 3.75/- per km respectively. Mileage allowance rates for personal car, taxi, motorcycles, bicycles and public transport have also seen increases from Rs. 10/-, Rs. 4/-, Rs. 2/- and Rs. 2.50/- per km to Rs. 15/-, Rs. 6/-, Rs. 3/- and Rs. 3.75/- per km respectively.

    The President has been pleased to sanction revision of mileage


    allowance admissible to Government officers/officials, while on official duty within the
    country as under:-
