STATEMENT : DRAMA
IS NOT SUITABLE FOR
CHILDREN
I STRONGLY DISAGREE
WITH THE STATEMENT
This is because there are many
benefits of drama that can improve
the children’s growth and
development in education.
Through drama, children will be
able to learn valuable experiences
and skills including :

Cultural Awareness
Drama provide immersive and
experiential opportunities to explore
different cultures, perspectives, and
historical contexts. This helps students
recognize the richness and complexity
of different cultures, moving beyond
stereotypes and foster cultural
sensitivity.

Communication Skills
Drama provides a safe space for
children to explore and express a wide
range of emotions. Through
portraying characters and scenarios,
they learn how to identify, understand,
and articulate words clearly with
appropriate tone and pitch.

Teamwork
Collaborative activities like group
performances or role-playing
games can enhance their social
skills, teamwork, and ability to
work effectively with others. It
helps the children to be more
confident to interact with their
peers.
Improve Concentration
and Memory
Drama requires children to memorize
lines, cues, and dialogues. This process
of refining and adapting performances
strengthens memory through
repetition and active learning.
