u-remote
The u-remote modular I/O system has 10 fieldbus protocols
and a selection of more than 100 I/O modules to offer
maximum flexibility. Thanks to the ability to connect
64 modules in direct series connection, u-remote offers
comprehensive options for data recording within the
automation process.

u-control
The control is the heart of any automation system. The
u-control 2000 offers a compact and powerful option, based
on the design of our I/O system. Thanks to the integrated
container technology, individual software applications can
be installed quickly, easily, and without adding supplemental
PC programs to the web-based u-control controller.

u-view
u-mation provides a comprehensive portfolio of IPCs
and touch panels for visualising the collected data. The
u-view portfolio also includes the u-create PROCON-WEB
visualisation software. Powerful visualisation solutions
simplify control, operation, and monitoring.

High-performance decentralisation
u-remote in IP67 for more flexibility in automation solutions

As automation becomes more decentralised, it requires more

flexible I/O solutions. A signal connection is established
close to the sensors and actuators, meaning that fewer lines
are required and less wiring work needs to be carried out.
However, as it is not usually possible to establish pure IP67
connections, IP20 systems are still needed.

With u-remote, you can now establish both IP20 and IP67
signal connections within a single I/O system. The innovative
gateway module allows for the direct connection of up
to 15 I/O modules in the field, eliminating the need for
separate, expensive IP67 field connections. This noticeably
increases the flexibility of your automation solutions whilst
simultaneously reducing costs.

Simplify your system planning processes and prevent

u-remote web server supports your engineering process

With u-remote, powerful software for start-up, status

monitoring and error diagnosis is already integrated in the
I/O system. The software is accessed via the web server
installed on the fieldbus coupler, making it available via any
standard Internet browser.
The I/O station can be configured before a control unit is
even connected, and status information and diagnostic
and process data can easily be accessed on the station.
Settings can also be directly changed, tested and stored for
subsequent series installations.

u-remote makes it easy to start up, parametrise and carry

out diagnostics on the remote I/O station via an Internet
browser. It is a highly time and cost-efficient system, without
special hardware or software.

u-control 2000 for powerful and compact control

Taking our modular hardware further, intelligently: the high-performance u-control

2000 controller is based on the compact design of the u-remote fieldbus coupler,
giving the user a full-value control system from u-remote by coupling directly with
the established I/O system. The controller is compatible with the whole u-remote
range and allows I/O modules to be connected directly.

A variety of Add-Ons are available within our scalable engineering software

u-create web, for real-time capable data processing that is not time-critical. Thanks
to the integrated container technology, individual software applications can be
installed quickly, easily, and without adding supplemental PC programs to the
web-based u-control controller.

Innovative control system with platform-independent u-create web
engineering tool

The flexible automation solution u-control web was

developed by Weidmüller on the basis of open, platform-
independent Web technologies for use in machinery and
plant engineering. The control system is particularly suited
to small and medium-sized applications and is part of the
u-mation automation range.

u-control web can be used in applications ranging from small

and medium stand-alone machines to large plants in which it
acts as a decentralized control unit.

The web server is already installed in u-control web, along

with the u-create web engineering software. Furthermore,
a variety of different software modules can be integrated,
such as the PLC development environment, the Node-RED
development software, and the OPC UA server. With the
newly integrated container technology, the user now also
has an open system for installing their own software or that
of third parties on the controller.

Make ship automation more reliable and efficient with the I/O-System u-remote

Modern ship technology is inconceivable without

automation systems. In many cases, the requirements are
similar to those in the industry: recording, evaluating and
monitoring a constantly growing number of signals; then
converting the results into control commands within a
defined time. On a ship, automation faces additional, very
specific requirements: Space is usually even more limited
than on land. In addition, the cables must be routed through
countless steel bulkheads, which in an emergency must
not only protect against smoke and fire, but also against
water penetration. Any intervention in the cabling here is
time-consuming and costly. The flexibility of a system must
therefore come from the system itself - a classic task for
fully integrated automation systems such as Weidmüller

parametrised and configured without any
programming expertise. The user can use simple
project planning to acquire data from machines
and display the operating states via a browser,
e.g. on mobile devices, and transfer the data to the cloud. PROCON-WEB is particularly suitable for future-proof

Amusement rides such as carousels, big wheels and roller

coasters are subject to special regulations and standards.
This family company Jörling & Söhne from Diepholz has just
updated its Disco Swing amusement ride in accordance with
the latest standard. Stockmann installed the control cabinet.
This is not a traditional control cabinet like those seen
in machinery and plant engineering. The control cabinet
is installed crosswise under the ride and only allows the
opening of a certain area – the fuse space.
