2. What is the equation of the line through (3, -1) with gradient 2? [2]
3. Find the area of a triangle with vertices A (1, 3), B (9, 1) and C (3, 8).

4. Find the equation of the line parallel to y = 2x+4 which passes through

5. Using the coordinates of A (7, 13) and B (2, 1). Find,
(a) The length of AB [2]
(b) The equation of AB [2]
6. Determine if the lines are parallel, perpendicular or neither.
y = x+2
y = -x+5 [1]
7. Find the equation of the line given (-8,-3) which is perpendicular to the
line 6x-2y= -1. [2]
8. If the line x+2y = 7 meets the curve x2-4x+y2 = 1 at A and B, find the
coordinates of the midpoint of AB. [3]
