Reflection #3

I am daughter.
I am first.
I am asked to care
To feed
To bathe
I am asked to carry.
I am product of immigrants
I am asked to help
Reiterate because they can’t understand moms accent
Help mom on english paper as she gets her high school diploma and I’m in 8th grade
Help myself with math homework and applying to college.
I am told I am one and only
I am told I have to save my people
I am told I have to be better
I am told I can bring justice.
I tell myself for my family.

I am tired
I am tired of asking our life to be valued
Tired of hands on our body.
Tired of dying by those who save
Tired of families separated whether at border or poverty
Tired of ghosts dictating laws.

The tenets of reproductive justice in simplicity belong to the right to have, to not have, and to
keep.
To have safely, to have and be listened to, to have and be safe - treated with dignity.
To not have safely, to not have comfortably, to not have without questions, - treated with respect
To keep safely, to nourish, to keep together, - treated with love.
