1) What are the best ways to overcome lethargy, particularly in relation to studies?

How
can you welcome lethargy to honorably farewell them?

Ans. Lethargy is a very common occurrence in the teenagers these days. The best ways to
overcome lethargy during studies are as followed:

a) applying the five seconds rule. In this approach, one has to physically act within five
seconds, It is a now or never situation, forcing you to act according to your
priorities.
b) most importantly, one needs to have the desire and determination to overcome it.
Without the desire and determination, no change is possible.
c) in order to finally overcome it, you must act; you have to put your body into action.
The moment you feel lethargic, you have to act up instantly within a moment. You
have to remember you are the master of your body and brain, not the vice versa.

Lethargy is a state of fatigue, which comes due to overexerting oneself or due lack of
sleep or motivation, but many a times it is created by us. In order to bid it farewell, I
have to understand its source and what my brain is trying to tell me. Humans are not
habituated to work hard since birth. Moreover, science has proved that our brains are
naturally lazy; it tries to work as less as possible. The problem is I am handing over the
control to my brain, which I am supposed to hold. So, I have to develop the habit of
working hard. I have to take the control of my brain.

While sometimes, a bad routine or some stressful days can also cause lethargy. If I try
to fix my schedule and lead a healthier lifestyle, and turn my negative traits into some
positive ones, and most importantly take the control of brain, which it is taking away
from me, then only I can honorably bid farewell to lethargy.
2) How will I overcome the negative impulses in my life, and become an efficient reader
and writer?

Ans. In order to overcome the negative impulses in my life and become an efficient
reader and writer, I need to accept the responsibility of making these lame excuses
called negative impulses, and understand that my brain is asking me to commit these
excuses, so it can avoid any hard work.

Now in order to make the negative into positive, I need to have the resolve and
determination to change. Since to make any change my desire has to be accompanied
by determination, in order to make any real effort. Nothing should be compromised for
any kind of momentary gratification. Since, if I start to compromise once, I am bound to
compromise again and the cycle will repeat. Same goes for my writing and reading
schedule.

Now in order to keep myself motivated, I have to reward my own accomplishments. On

finishing my stories or completing a chapter, I can treat myself to some sweets or
listening to some music or do something, which I like. These rewards will help me to
keep me motivated in my studies or writing, and will serve as the evidence of my efforts.
Now, if I fail to achieve my daily goals, I will be the one to punish myself by skipping my
snacks or coffee, as a punishment. This reward and punishment mechanism will help me
to stay disciplined, and thus I will be able to accomplish my goals, while overcoming the
negative impulses.

I also need to write and read more and more, to have a solid grasp over my imaginations
and creativity, and most importantly to widen my perspective by looking at the areas I
overlooked.

At last but not the least, I need to keep a track of everything, in order to assess my
improvement or deterioration. Now, this is very essential to keep track of what I am
doing. I believe by following the stated methods, I will be able to overcome those
negative impulses and excel as a writer and a reader.
