ENGLISH PROJECT

CLASS XI (2023-24)
Dear Students
As we embark on this compelling journey of knowledge and exploration, we introduce a project
designed not only to challenge our intellect but also to foster cooperation and creativity. Each page
symbolizes our growth, representing the collective effort of our carefully chosen group partners.
This project, meticulously handwritten on A4-sized coloured sheets, must be submitted in a neat
folder by 30th November 2023. It's worth noting that this project will continue to enrich our
academic journey in Class 12, highlighting the continuity of our learning adventure. Your teachers
will facilitate you in the selection of theme. Suggestions and improvements will be shared by them,
wherever necessary. Together, we will craft a project that mirrors the harmony and vibrancy of our
classroom.

Project Work Guidelines:


 Create a group with no more than 5 students.
 Choose a theme from the list provided.
 Carry out a thorough research on your chosen theme.
 Conduct a survey on the chosen topic using a Google Form with a group of 15 to 20 people.
Collect the responses, analyse the survey results, and include the findings in the essay. The
survey sheet/s should also be included in the project file.
 Write an essay in about 800 to 1000 words describing the topic/issue/giving your own
opinion/suggestions/measures/viewpoints/its impact on people/your learning experience.
 Include pictures/ collages (related to the topic) at regular intervals to complement the
content.
 Capture the positive learning experiences of your partners engaged in the project, in
photographs.
 Cite your sources.
 The project should be neat, legible, with an emphasis on quality of content, accuracy of
information, creative expression, proper sequencing and should be relevant as per your
assigned topic.
 Cover page should have the title of the project and details of all group members.

 Cinema as a medium of communication
 Feminism /Gender inequality

 Relevance of Interviews as a means of communication
 Patriotism /Humanism
 Satire as a literary genre /Pride comes before a fall
 A thing of beauty is a joy forever

(It's important to note that all the themes correspond to chapters from the Class 12 textbooks. If
you'd like to read the chapters first, your teachers are here to guide you.)

The following points will be kept for consideration while assessing the project portfolios:
 Quality of content of the project
 Accuracy of information
 Adherence to the specified timeline
 Content in respect of (spellings, grammar, punctuation)
 Clarity of thoughts and ideas
 Creativity
 Contributions by group members

You have a generous five-week window to prepare the project.
