Gearing System in Elyon

You have multiple type of gears in Elyon,

● Breakthrough
● Dungeon / PvP gear
● Refined gear
● Normal gear / (Night gear)

Normal Gear:
If you fail enhancement it does not Break but you go down in enhancement level if you use
a +2/3 stone unless you use a fali preventer.

There is also a different kind of normal gear with less stats but always 5-6 upgrade slots.
Breakthrough gear:
If you enhance this type of gear if you fail it BREAKS Then your item is gone.
It does have increased stats.

At max you can use 3 Breakthrough pieces you unlock them at (35,40,45)

You always want a breakthrough offhand in Elyon since it unlocks an extra slot on your
hotbar for a skill.
For PvP
Chest / Pants are most used (Not anymore in KR meta but for early game it was) Most use
Double BT weapons atm.
For PvE

Helmet / Gloves are most common

TL:DR ignore it all and go for Offhand / Chest

And later go for Pants for PvP
The PvE set is a nice Bonus to have but not mandatory until higher stages etc.
Dungeon / PvP Gear:

By completing dungeons you get tokens that you can use to buy specific gear pieces.
By doing PvP you get tokens (Arena’s) with those you can buy pvp gear if your rank meets
the requirement. You need honor for this (This is why on your main you always do honor
quest / don’t use honor)

This gear can be upgraded like normal gear. It won't break but will go down in enhancement
level if you don’t use fail preventers.

If u do dungeons u get the following resource:

PvE PvP
PvP Upgraded Gear

You can upgrade normal Legendary gear to Brilliant for 15k honor.
This adds an extra effect to the gear piece just check inven it’s for a very late game.

Refined Gear (You can ignore super RNG very late game)
This is a recent addition to KR
You can exchange gear for new gear; it has a higher base stat then normal / dungeon gear
but lower then breakthrough gear.

Personally i don’t think it’s super worth it due to (Item sets)

And this gear does not provide any item set bonus.

Maybe 1 piece would be good to increase the random stat allot.

(Still very new system)

This gear can not be upgraded but you can keep exchanging it to make it a higher tier
making it super expensive.

Also you can get random stats on gear you normally could not so it might be worth it in some
cases!
Enhancing in Elyon
If you look at a piece of gear breakthrough or non breakthrough.
You have sockets a grey socket is a default socket

If you have a Yellow Socket you have an increased % for succeeding the upgrade

Upgrade materials in Elyon

+1 Stones - You use those to make +2 stones mainly you can use them on niece moments
for save enhancement cuz if you fail with those the enhancement does not drop but only
good in certain situations.
+2 Stones - This is the most used stone if you fail you lose enhancement level on gear.
+3 Stones - Will be more often used late late game but expensive also have lower % to
succeed. And you will lose the enchantment level on failure.

From Blue > Purple > Legendary

So for blue gear to reach the point they can be made purple you will need to make the blue
piece of gear +7 on BT and +6 on normal (Was changed)

I would only use this for Dungeon / item set gear with good random stat!

You will also need multiple disenchanted blue gear pieces 15 in total!

From Purple to Legendary you will need to get the gear piece to +10 on Purple. And check if
you can use the item it shows in description!

You will also need multiple disenchanted purple gear pieces

And an extra item that was hard to obtain! Will have to check how this works for our version.
Reset Scroll
Okay so before people tell u things like u lose ur Rune socket colours / Random stats Please
don’t listen to them.

You can use this item to remove / randomize the upgrade sockets.
So you have a purple piece of gear with 6 sockets and a few yellows
It could become a Purple piece with 4 sockets and no yellows.

It removes the + from your gear so u could get a piece to +3 and u were really unlucky u can
use this scroll to try again with the same piece of gear!
Runes & Sockets
In Elyon you have runes to enhance your gear and use the points they give for the *Talent
tree*

Runes:

Runes have individual stats from Tier 3 onwards.

(Good stats are: Skill Points / Hit but mostly Skill points)

Runes gain stats at

T3 - 1 stats
T5 - 2 stats
Most people have a full T5 in KR that is a softcap for runes.
Rune Tree
You get 1 point per Rune per tier so a Tier 4 = 4 points a Tier 5 = 5 points etc. (colour based
red gives red. Yellow gives Yellow)
Gear Sockets:

You will get sockets in gears with a colour.

Depending on the colour you can put the rune in

You can re-roll the rune colour at an NPC.

Gears will have sockets as following

1 slot +0
2 slot +4
3 slot +8
4 slot +12

With the refined gear u can have more gear sockets.

Special Runes

Need more info about Trans runes:

In short they give an extra bonus.

You also have runes you will need to complete transcendence dungeons!
Make sure to look into it early so you can get those runes from Oden Sky / Exile Island.
Upgrading Runes
In my opinion this is the most important thing to do.
The fail preventers we talked about earlier that you can use for gear I would only use for
runes.

The reason for it is if you fail a normal rune upgrade your rune will go down 1 tier.

Please make sure to ONLY USE fail preventers for Tier 5 runes.
For T4 it is not needed.
Enchanting
Gear / Weapons

So depending on the rarity of the gear (Blue / Purple / Yellow) you will need the same colour

of enchanting materials You can reroll them as much as you like.

Options u have:
- Main stat (Intelect, Strength,Agility etc u always get your correct stat)
- Critical Hit
- Attack SPeed
- HP
- Hit
- Evasion

Accessories
Enchanting materials for Accessories:
Can give you stats too (personally never test will have to check in CBT2)
Random Stats on gear
You have random stats on gear.

Blue - 1
Purple - 2
Legendary -3

There are exceptions to this rule like crafted gear / Nightgear for example they can differ a
bit.
Out of those random stats you have the following options.
Random stats are completely class dependent please check with your class lead / people
you know

Refined gear is full RNG u can get any stat on any gear piece.
Re-rolling random stats
They added a method to be able to re-roll the random stats.

U need those stones to reset them.

Dailies
Honor
You got PvP Dailies for Honor you can see the Honor icon at the reward page.
You want to do those Daily’s on your main account at any time.

Airship dailies.
You wanna have alts to do Airship dailies.
To get multiple Fail preventers and upgrade mats.
Blue Quest
I will just call them blue quests.. All of them are daily’s but some give enhancement materials
so it might be worth having multiple alts at lvl 42 to make more money.

Dungeons
This system has changed quite a bit.
Will need to check what version we get in CBT 2

But you want to do Dungeons on more then 1 character for the extra boxes / rewards so u
can get free breakthrough gear from the currency :)

Transcendence Dungeons

Also they added Transcendence dungeons to give extra rewards for some; you will need
certain runes to be able to complete them.

Half of Challenge

There is also a weekly Hall of Challenge which gives decent rewards if you can get far
enough.

Pets
Upgrading pets is not worth it i think but we will discuss this.

Better wait for premium pet and make sure it gets the skill
VAC PET (It vacuums all the loot every 1 sec)
Luminous
You can buy it from the ruby shop. And choose colour + icon.
You can also obtain it through in-game through the arena!

World Bosses
They only spawn on channel 1 and are marked on the map if they are up!
Dimensional Portals:
You have 2 Types of Dimensional Portals:

1 that is a Daily 1 hour portal,

And you have extra portals at specific times for 10 hours a week.

Make sure to spend the resources before leaving!

Pick your times smart
1 hour per day in total:
Garden of Dragons – Lvl 35 – 50 (changes at 42 to higher level mobs)

- Mana Awakening XP (Great XP)

- Special Runes

Odin’s Sky island – lvl 38 – 50

- Mana Awakening XP (Okay XP)

- Special Runes (guaranteed)

Black Machine Basin lvl 43 – 50

- Inane Character XP (Less Mana Awakening XP)

Sandstorm Canyon 45 – 50 (Hard)

You can obtain Reset Scrolls:

Nusgard Hunting 46 – 50 (hard)

10 Hours per week

Most of the times for the weekly once are specific times check in-game

Garden of Dragons 42 – 50
Can be entered 6 times a day (05-06, 08-09, 11-12, 14-15, 17-18, 19-20)

Used to farm Transcendental Awakening stones and purple gear.

Island of Outcasts 40 – 50

Used to farm gold. Extra gold rewards for a lot of quests. Quests are not repeatable but you
need to enter multiply times to do them all for maximum gold rewards
Revenant Monastery 44- 50 – (watch out for pvp)

Kill mobs turn in points to Roaming exchange traders,

Abandoned underground temple 42-50 (hard)

Usually large group content to clear epic mobs in order to gain accessories (Guild)
Frozen City 45 – 50 (620 ilvl requirement to enter) (hard)

Do the quest for 14 days and you are able to buy a legendary refined gear piece of your
choice.

Fortress of Chaos – 49 – 50 (hard)

We haven't been able to test this, but this instance is dropping Legendary equipment.
Mana Awakening (Sephirot Tree)
So if my assumption is correct we will get a closer to KR patch you will have a 1 hour daily
entrance for the Dimensional.

Which you should do it will give you levels in the Sephirot tree which resets every x amount
of time (But you get points back / things back dependant how high u got last time)

This is very class dependant

Example: (Very old picture from Season 1)
Purple Skills:
Check class channels for purple skills and ask people about purple skills for the class you
play.

At level 45 and 500GS you can pick and choose one purple skill for your class! Was no in
CBT 2. We will have to check for release.

You can get those in multiple ways: Dimensional quests, quest and PvP Rewards etc.

You can put the balls inside the collection book to unlock the skills you can also take them
back out.
Farming

Money Farming
You have lootscrols in-game like BDO style that increase your drop rate by 300%. You
should use them to get purple’s / more trash loot.

Farming without them is not really worth it. It’s also in my opinion not worth it to use loot
scrolls while farming guards.

A quick tip would be if you go for a purple piece farm the spot u need to get it dropped.

Also Exile island is a great place to farm money.

XP Farming
So a lot of the XP is gained in Dimensionals with XP potions etc. most of it is done in your
solo hour of Dimensions.

Garden of Dragons / Black Machine Basin are the most known for good XP.

In the dragon garden it’s important to look for a little fire flower that will pull all the mobs and
deal pretty good dmg. It’s very class dependent at which time you can clear this. That is also
one of the reasons mystics usually get a head in XP.
Gearing in Elyon how to do it
Please keep in mind this is the method i use i’m not saying it’s the best but for me it’s been
successful :) of course if you are lucky with drops etc and getting good purples early you can
skip certain things or adjust accordingly but that’s something i can’t teach u. But you can ask
for advice.

In KR atm u get full Purple gear from quest line / Tier 3 Yellow from PvP Training.

Early Game (First week)

Armour

1. Early game you want to get gear pieces you can use on your alts and
temporarily use on your main.

# Good examples of this would be Normal gear purple +4 with a good random
stat.
Example would be: Gloves +4 purple with Max attack since it’s most likely
your BiS stat.

2. Meanwhile you are getting your +4 purple set you wanna do dungeons for
dungeon gear pieces / tokens.

Accessories: (PvP accessories got added to the game Please check

them out)
● You get a ring at lvl 42 with a critical hit on it on every alt from the quest line!
● In the Main city at lvl 42 you can buy Accessories.(240k Blue 24k Green)

Weapons

I’d recommend checking the market if you see a cheap normal purple weapon that is not an
offhand i’d buy it. This only goes for the MAINHAND. And farm locations where the main
hand drops! Otherwise look for a normal blue weapon with the correct random stats.

You get free purple offhand at lvl 42 with 6 gem sockets.

So you got your normal weapon + lvl 42 purple offhand that would be a good start.
Maybe if you have a bit more experience you cleared the lvl 40’s dungeons for tokens /
drops.
And u got urself blue Breakthrough weapons? If that is the case you can try to make those
+4 if they have the correct or a decent random stat.

Runes

For runes you wanna sit around Tier 3 gems and hit 33 Yellow because it will give you an
amount of points in every other rune trait. Maybe a few tier 4 gems.

In short:
- Get a purple gear set +4 for armour with good random stats!
- Breakthrough main hand and offhand blue +4
- Bought the accessories that fit your class from vendors / main quest. (There is also a
dungeon later so green is not bad if ur not sure)
- Get your runes to Tier 3 / hit 33 Yellow.

Special mention:

Meanwhile doing all of the above u can keep buying blue arena gear to look for good
random stats and upgrade those to purple eventually. You will need a back-up gear set for
alts regardless so it’s ok.
Mid-game
Now it’s the time where you are working on your main gear set.
After the mid game fase you will be sitting around the softcap gear.

Armour
(Keep in mind at all times i expect people to have the correct random stats for their class)

You will be working on your PvP/ Dungeon gear set from the arena vendor (this can be class
dependent, do some research) You will want those to hit +8 at least +10 would be amazing.

You wanna work on your Breakthrough Chest / Pants +8 would be the goal.

You might wonder about the set bonus cuz u only use 3 pieces and 2 breakthrough items.
Don’t worry.

Weapons

You will be working on your PvP mainhand (This is why you don’t use honor early on and
keep it and stack it with quests) . You'd like to make this as high as you can because you will
be at a disadvantage vs people use a breakthrough mainhand.

So the reason you use the mainhand is for the set bonus and the transition into your first
legendary gear piece which will be your main hand!

Offhand the pain, the struggles especially pain. You would want to get a purple breakthrough
+ 8 offhand with the BiS random stats..
THis is by far the most shitty thing to do in your entire gear progression cuz it needs to be +8
for sure but you can do it slowly.

The method for upgrading gear I like to use is by upgrading your back-up gear.

You buy multiple offhands and upgrade them slowly 1 click at a time and keep the highest
one at all times :)
Runes

So you have been wondering where all those nice Fail preventers will be going that you get
with your airship dailies?

Well don’t look any further it will be for your Tier 5 runes.
First you will get all runes to Tier 4 without using any preventers.

And for going Tier 5 you will be using fail preventers.

You would like to hit full Tier 5 gems with the correct stats.
If you're ahead it’s great to do so because later on those runes become more and more
expensive. And you can sell not great Tier 5’s :)

Accessories: (PvP accessories got added to the game Please check

them out)
You wanna look for your BiS accessory and make it +5 or 6 don’t remember when it
becomes insanely more difficult to upgrade you will see in-game tho because you select to
boost or remove the negative part of 1 stat once u completed 1 side of it it becomes harder.

This is something you do Daily to check the vendor so make sure u always have around
240k around :)

In short:
● Full +8 PvP Gear + MH
● Breakthrough Chest / Pants / Offhand + 8
● Full Tier 5 runes
● Upgraded Accessories

This is what i consider soft cap because hitting higher than Tier 5 runes is really difficult
Eventually you want to get full + 10 and upgrade it to Legendary.

Your breakthrough pieces I would do last since they are a risky upgrade because they can
break on legendary too :)
Quicktips
● You lose XP if you die to mobs or when using PvP Buff

This buff makes you red to all factions (Including your own) and your name is
different (You can see each others pet to see who it is those names don’t
adjust) So give your pet the name of a guild mate or a generic name :)

● Don’t trade your honor for items

● If u swap CH there is a cooldown u can skip this by going to Char select

● Skip cutscenes by opening the cash shop

● Back jump against a wall to climb mountains

● CTRL + SPACE for super jump

● Make alts do airship dailies So you can buy the Fail preventers

● Expand your warehouse it takes time (You can use Cash Shop)

● Runes that will go up in price and are needed is SP + SP Hit + Hit SP + AS /

SP + HIT the last 2 are worth a bit less but still good

● Buy your important skills early / get them from book check it out

● CTRL + RMB to slot runes in your equipment pay attention if u spam u crash
● CTRL + LMB to search an item on the market place

● You have rare monsters White Mobs (that drop upgrade stones) A Big guy
with white wolves following him (Drops Rune stones)

● Upgrade gems halfway to proc change to save DUST

● Keep Rune colour slots u need in warehouse

● Do Dungeons on Multiple chars for the Rewards / Money

● You don’t have to repair if you stay in combat (Tested CBT1)

● PvP training (Must do 1 time per account) U get runes on KR currently u get
tier 3 Yellows for Free.

● There is a shop where you can buy Faction rewards. The faction owner
chooses what reward.
