This category is for Saudi Citizens, GCC Citizens and Saudi Residents (Iqama
Holders).
Approved students in this category should bear expenses for tuition fee, textbooks,
etc.
KFUPM fee for graduate students is as described in the link:

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP [Only for Thesis Based Programs – Master of Science (MS) & Doctor of
Philosophy (PhD)]

This scholarship is for

1. Saudis Males and Females who are not working anywhere with excellent academic
record. If you choose this category, you need to upload in the last section, AHWAL
AL-SHAKHSIYYAH (ABSHER) snapshot and GOSI snapshot to show that you are not
working.
2. Non-Saudi Male and Females Iqama Holders under their
parent's/sibling's/spouse's/others sponsorship who are not working anywhere with
excellent academic record. If you choose this category, you need to upload in the last
section, Iqama or National ID of your sponsor.

If the documents/data are not appropriate for scholarship or you are not approved for this category,
you may be approved for Self-Sponsored category.
INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP [Only for Thesis Based Programs – Master of Science (MS) &
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)]

If you are a Non-Saudi applicant living outside Saudi Arabia and have excellent academic record,
you are eligible for this category. Approved applicants need a visa to enter the Kingdom.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP (CONTINUING) [Only for Thesis Based Programs – Master of

Science (MS) & Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)]

If you are an active scholarship Non-Saudi student on a KFUPM Iqama and are about to complete
your current degree with excellent academic record, you are eligible for this category.

This category is for those Saudi applicants who are sponsored by a Saudi University to study at
KFUPM.

NON-EDUCATIONAL SECTOR SPONSORED

This category is for those Saudi applicants who are sponsored by a Saudi non-educational

For research based programs, academic referees are preferred but not mandatory.
An applicant CANNOT use/upload the recommendations which he/she already has .
It is MANDATORY to obtain recommendations online by filling the information below.
