Notes:
The story behind the story “Why there is a high tides during the full moon” is often told through myths
and legends. One common tale says that during the full moon, the moon goddess pulls the ocean closer
to her, causing the tides to rise. This story reflects ancient beliefs about the moon's mystical power over
the seas. While these stories are captivating, the real reason for high tides during the full moon is the
alignment of the moon, Earth, and sun, which creates stronger gravitational forces on the oceans. This
phenomenon, known as spring tides, occurs when the gravitational pull of the moon and the sun align,
leading to higher tides.
