TASK 1

My bestfriend is a person who is always for me in every difficult moment, she is a someone who I
can have fun with and, mainly, she is a reliable friend. We have been friends for 10 years, since we
were kids, we met when we were, around, 7 years old and since that moment we have always
been together. We are pretty similar; I am a person who always like to have fun and so she is and
she is someone who likes to go out and I like it, too. But we have some different things, I’m a
person who is too responsible and she is not, she is a person who does not like to do the things at
time and I think that differences are what makes our friendship special.

TASK 2

Five years ago, when I was a 12 years old, I was in Homecenter with my parents; we were buying
something when I started playing “Tag” with my brother. I was running everywhere with him,
when I felt dizzy, I had to stop playing to rest a moment. My mom said I was running too fast and
for that reason I was felling like that. As I was a child, a few minutes later, I started playing again; I
was running pretty fast without looking where I was doing that when I did not realize the floor was
wet and I fell down. I did not cry in that moment but when I looked my knee, I started crying too
loud. I had an open wound on my knee, I was pretty scared. My mom was trying to clean my knee
when someone gave her a wheelchair and, immediately, my parents took me to the hospital.

TASK 3

Good afternoon, I hope you are well, here is your pamphlet for visiting Bogota. If you want to be a
good tourist, there are some things you should know. When you are in a public place, it’s not
acceptable to leave the trash in the floor. Also, you are not obligated to give a tip in the
restaurants, you just do it if you want. When you hang out with your friends, it is the custom to
pay the bill together. If you go to a friend’s party, you are supposed to bring a gift or money and if
you want to go with someone you are expected to ask it to the party owner.

TASK 4

Don’t buy washing machines online.

A few weeks ago, I bought a washing machine in mercado libre. I was waiting for it since that
moment and yesterday, it finally arrives home. When I looked at the washing machine, I realized it
has a scratch, I think it, just, needs painting. And that’s not everything, today I realized there is a
big stain on the back. It is leaking, too and in every moment keeps doing a weird sound, It needs to
be returned.

I feel unhappy with this washing machine, I need a refund.
