NCM10- Nursing Informatics- Laboratory

Final Examination

Name: ____________________________ Date: ___________

Year & Section: _____________________

Direction:
After learning the importance of Nursing informatics on the Nursing Education, Research
and Leadership. Contemplate about the need of the Philippine Nursing education, specifically
our college and make a project proposal that could help improve and enhance the strategies of
the Clinical Instructors in delivering/ teaching Nursing Informatics (NCM10).

The project proposal should have these following contents:

A. Executive Summary
The first step to completing a Project Proposal is to write an Executive Summary. This section
will summarize the entire document by describing the background for the project and the
proposed Vision, Goals and Timeframes. In essence, it sets the scene for the project and makes
the document enticing enough to read and endorse, so that the project can be kicked-off.

B. Background
- History: Before you describe the proposal in depth, you need to provide the reader with a
brief historical view, so that it sets the context upon which the project will be initiated. As
this is the basis upon which the project is created, you need to describe all of the relevant
history that has taken place up until now.
- Problem: Needs to be solved by this project, then describe the problem in depth here
- Opportunity: Needs to be full-filled by the project, then describe it in depth here.
- Solution: The next step is to describe the solution to their problem or opportunity that the
project must deliver.

C. Proposal
- Vision and Goals: State the vision and goals of the project. They need to be “Smart”
which means Specific, Measurable, Action orientated, Realistic and Time based
- Timeframe: (Gantt Chart)
- Budget
- Success Criteria: Every Project Manager wants the project be a success. But what is it
that defines success?
- Management: How the project be maintained once it’s already running. (People
involved and their responsibilities)
