Onion Soup Recipe

Onion soup is a delicious French dish that is now regarded as fine

cuisine and served in fancy restaurants for a high price. However, onion soup
was born in a time of necessity where the only food people had were onions.
The recipe was eventually perfected and came to be the fancy dish it is
nowadays.
Ingredients
 Onions
 Butter
 Olive oil
 Salt
 Pepper
 Wine
 Beef broth
 Flour
 Water (optional)
 Cheese (optional)

1. First, gather all the ingredients and slice the onions.

2. In a large pot at a low heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and then add the
butter (adding olive oil first prevents the butter from burning); let the
butter melt.
3. Once the butter is completely melted, add the onion slices and move
them constantly with a spatula. Cook the onions until they are
transparent (If you salt the onions, they’ll cook faster).
4. Sprinkle flour and mix it in.
5. Add the beef broth and mix.
6. Add wine to your liking.
7. Lightly mix the soup and taste; if the beef broth is too thick you can add
water.
8. Add salt and pepper to the soup to your preference.
9. Bring the soup to a boil.
10.Once the soup has boiled, serve with cheese on top.
Now you can enjoy a cheap, warm meal at the comfort of your house!
