NSAIDs

are usually used for the treatment of acute or chronic conditions where pain
and inflammation are present.

USES

Aspirin is used to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain from
conditions such as muscle aches, toothaches, common cold, and headaches.
It may also be used to reduce pain and swelling in conditions such as
arthritis. Aspirin is known as a salicylate and a nonsteroidal anti-
inflammatory drug (NSAID).

Diflunisal: used to treat mild to moderate pain, osteoarthritis, or


rheumatoid arthritis. Diflunisal may also be used for purposes not listed in
this medication guide.

Salsalate: Salsalate is used to reduce pain, swelling, and joint stiffness


caused by arthritis.

mefenamic acid : are also called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs


(NSAIDs), or sometimes just 'anti-inflammatories'. Mefenamic acid is used
to treat painful conditions such as arthritis, pain associated with heavy
menstrual bleeding, and pain after surgical operations.
Ibuprofen: is used to relieve pain from various conditions such as
headache, dental pain, menstrual cramps, muscle aches, or arthritis. It is
also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches and pain due to the
common cold or flu. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug
(NSAID).

Naproxen :is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by conditions such


as arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, bursitis, gout, or menstrual

Fenoprofen: is used to relieve mild to moderate pain from various


conditions. It also reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness from arthritis.

Ketoprofen :is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis. The


ketoprofen regular capsule is also used to treat mild to moderate pain, or
menstrual pain.

Flurbiprofen: is used to reduce pain, swelling, and joint stiffness from


arthritis.

Indomethacin: used as a prescription medication to reduce fever, pain,


stiffness, and swelling from inflammation. It works by inhibiting the
production of prostaglandins, endogenous signaling molecules known to
cause these symptoms.

Sulindac :is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by arthritis,


ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, bursitis, or gout

Diclofenac:used to treat pain and inflammatory diseases such as gout. It is


taken by mouth, used by injection, or applied to the skin.
Etodolac: is used to relieve pain from various conditions. It also
reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness from arthritis.

Ketorolac:used to treat pain. Specifically it is recommended for


moderate to severe pain.

Piroxicam :is used to reduce pain, swelling, and joint stiffness


from arthritis. Reducing these symptoms helps you do more of
your normal daily activities. This medication is known as a
nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

Tenoxicam:an anti-inflammatory agent with analgesic and


antipyretic properties, is used to treat osteoarthritis and control
acute pain.

Meloxicam :used to relieve various types of pain, including pain


caused by musculoskeletal conditions, osteoarthritis, and
rheumatoid arthritis.
