Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 479 dated October 24, 1994 and Deped Memorandum, No. 177, 8. 2017, the Filipino values Month will be celebrated in November with this year’s theme "agpapaunlad ng Pagkatao, Pakikipagkapwa at Pananampalataya: Hamon sa Panahon ng Pandemya”. A culminating activity will be held on November 25, 2021 from 8:00 am. to 5:00 p.m. via MS Teams. 2. The celebration aims to strengthen the Filipino culture, values and ideas that are Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakelikasan at Makabensa, Furthermore, the event aims to motivate all Filipinos for nation building via the practical application of human values in everyday lives as citizens, as well {as to alert everyone to the power of these values and principles in accomplishing personal and national goals. 3. Schools and districts are advised to host relevant online activities centered on the promotion and preservation of natural Filipino values as part of the observation. They are also strongly encouraged to take part in Division events and competitions, such as: ‘a. Oratorical speech, poster making, and slogan making contest for the Elementary Level b. Value/Virtue exposition, Photo Collage, E-Slogan making contest for the Secondary Level 4. Attached for guidance and reference are the following: ‘a. Enclosure No.1 - Activity Matrix Participants, technical working group, and Winners for every category indicated in this Memorandum shall be given certificates upon validation of the Working Committee. b. Value/Virtue Exposition a 2, ho There will be one entry from Junior high School and one for Senior High Secondary School The Value/Virtue Exposition is an impromptu discussion / presentation of values/virtues taken from the value clusters for ethical themes and DepEd Core Values. There will be an elimination round and final round. Elimination Round: a. Each contestant will be given one value through draw lots to deliver/present in front of the judges in an online platform b. The contestant will be given five (5) minutes to prepare and three (3) minutes to present. Filipino language will be used as a medium in the presentation (discussion of values/virtues) c. The presentation/discussion will focus on the content of value/virtue, its relevance and application to the life of the student and to the community in general. d. Final Round: The top three contestants in the elimination round will qualify to this round where they will present one common value/virtue. The same mechanics in the presentation in the elimination round will be used. @. The decision of the judges shall be final and non-appealable.
