The lives of David, Saul, and Samuel are an example of being good leaders and servants of God.

They led people, especially their followers, on the right path because they are indeed good
leaders; they showed guidance to people, leading them to the right path of recognizing God,
having faith in God, and being loyal to God. They also showed how humans can be, because not
all people are good; they still have flaws; they showed human experience; and they showed how
a human can ask for forgiveness from God when they make mistakes or when they sinned; they
conveyed how important repentance is; they can improve and fix your relation to God.

I can relate their story to my life because I have also become a leader many times. I did lead my
group mates into a good outcome and presentation; I did my best even though I have some
shortcomings; I gave them all a fair task and asked for all their ideas and suggestions; and I did
apply them to our work to create a good presentation and performance task, but I hope they felt
the same for me. I hope they think that I am also a good leader despite my shortcomings, because
sometimes I still doubt myself if I am good enough. I always prayed to God that our performance
would be good when we had projects, asking God for guidance and help, but I didn’t just relay
that; I did my best work too. There is a saying that “Nasa tao ang gawa nasa Diyos ang Awa,”
and I have always believed that a strong prayer that has actions combined has the greatest
outcomes.

We need to always remember that when we face hardships and problems in our lives, God is
always there. He provides for us and eases our problems. Don’t succumb to temptation when you
know it will lead to sin, like what David, Saul ,and Samuel experienced. Just always have faith in
God because he has plans for you.
